Weekly Goals 4/27

I have to say that I have been a little off my blogging goals lately.  I had a bunch of posts scheduled when I got the call that my grandmother was sick and only had a few more days.  We dropped everything and went to see her.  We had a few good days with her before she passed.  We had lots of family around that we got to play trivia, bowling, and do a lot of fun things with my little man to keep him busy.  It was a quick two weeks and I was a little in a blur.  I am trying to get back into things but I have missed a few posts in the last few weeks so I am sorry.  I am sure you all understand that family comes first but I just wanted to say that I am sorry that I haven't gotten everything done you are used to.

I have had a busy week so I think that next week is going to be a little more slow.  I am going to get a few more days of Super Double shopping done and try to catch up on all the errands that have sat un-done for the month and try to finish everything up before the month is over.  What do you have planned for the month?

Last week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family at home- I had a busy week with the family and grandpa came to visit which was interesting for my little man.
Personal Goals
  • Get coupons from the last two weeks- I got the coupons from last week and this week so I only missed one week of coupons from when I was gone.
  • Cut coupons (two inserts from last week and whatever I can get for this week)- I got coupons cut quickly before it was time to shop.  I had three inserts so there were a lot of coupons
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I shut off the computer every night to save energy and make sure my computer is working.
  • Finish reading new review book- I finished my review book and my review is scheduled for 4/30
  • Get new books at the library- I went with my son to the library and he helped me pick out 14 and 15 in the Janet Evanovich series.  It is so fun to watch him read the side of the books looking for the next number in the series...see how anything can be a learning experience, even picking out books for mommy :)
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I got lots cleaned up this week but it was hard to keep up with this week since it was the first back at home and I ended up working at school three days this week.  It is hard to get back on schedule after being gone and even harder when jumping into a really full schedule.
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- I don't have clue what happened this week in terms of getting things cleaned up but I did get everything cleaned up on Saturday night so that I could start the week off right.
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family)- Nope, I got most of my review up there but I missed Thursday.  I did a rough draft of the post but didn't get it finished and sort of forgot to work on it later in the day so I guess I am out of practice.
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- I got some of the book reviews posted.  I have two more to write to try to post tomorrow.
  • Post Sunday Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, Kid Wednesday and Thrifty Thursday Tip- I didn't get all of my posts done this week.
This week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family at home (including grandpa)
  • Register for pool for the summer
  • Soccer practice
  • Soccer game
Personal Goals
  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday
  • Cut coupons (two inserts from last week)
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy
  • Cancel trash service
  • Finish reading book 14 from Janet Evanovich
  • Start next book in series
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family)

Weekly Goals 4/20

I am planning on an easy week to work our way back to normal life at home after two weeks out of schedule and our house.  I am hoping for an easy week so that I can figure out what I have to get done and catch up on.  I have no idea what we have going on or what we are going to do but first step is returning library books and unpacking everything so that we can find everything and plan our menu for the rest of the month.

Last week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family including grandparents and extended family- We spent two weeks with family and got to see lots of extended family members.  We spent the last few days at my parents before coming home.
Personal Goals
  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday- Didn't make it home until Sunday night so I didn't get any papers last week.
  • Figure out if I can get some of last week's paper since I wasn't in town- I didn't make it back until Sunday so I didn't get anything yet but I guess I lost the ability to get last weeks papers.
  • Cut coupons (two inserts from last week and whatever I can get for this week)- No cutting was done since we just got home but I did clean out all expired coupons at my cousins house and my basket is much lighter although I have a lot less coupons right now.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- We haven't been home in two weeks so I have barely been on my computer so it hasn't been a problem to get it off every night.
  • Finish reading 12 by Janet Evanovich- Finished and review posted
  • Read new review book (review due on 16th)- Finished and review posted.  I also finished the 13th book and started on another review book due later in the month.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I just got home so there wasn't a problem with having to keep things clean except where we were staying.  I ran the dishwasher before I left so I unloaded the dishwasher when we got home and got pizza.  The great thing about loading it up before you leave is there is nothing left to clean when you get home.
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- No need because we didn't make it home.
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family)- I missed a post yesterday and one last week with all of the different activities but I got a lot of posts up since I planned ahead.
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- Reviews are posted and there is one going up next week since I didn't get something up before I left when I read it but I didn't bring it with me.  Oops!
  • Post Sunday Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, Kid Wednesday and Thrifty Thursday Tip- Done

Weekly Goals 4/13

Well, another week by and I tried to get more done on the weekend but with soccer on Saturday and open houses on Sunday, I didn't get a lot done.  Then, I had a big week planned with a hair cut for me on Monday and one for my son later in the week.  I got the call that my grandmother had a stroke and the doctors were giving her two days to live.  I went straight home and started packing.  We had a bunch of things piled into the middle of the family room and I threw things into the car and picked my son up from school.  My husband came home from work and we drove to see my grandmother.  We dropped my son at my cousin's house.  I spent some time with her on Monday night.  I was at the hospital on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  She passed away on Friday after a long week so we got nothing done this week that was planned but I got to visit with my grandmother and say good bye.

Setting low expectations for the week because we still aren't going to be home and we have lots of challenges for week already with running low on clothes and my little guy is getting sick of being out of routine and we both are sick and run down.  Here is hoping that we make the most of the time and both start to feel better soon!

This week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family including grandparents who are coming into town
  • Playdate with friends after school
  • Lego event at the library
  • Circus with the family
Personal Goals
  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday
  • Cut coupons (two inserts)
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- Done mostly because my computer was off for most of the week after sending messages to everyone to cancel everything we had planned for the week.
  • Post additional coupons for sale to ebay (?)
  • Start reading Eleven on Top by Janet Evanovich- Done reading
  • Find next book to read- I started on the 12th book and I really need to start reading the book that I have to review for next week but I just haven't wanted to read anything challenging.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- We are staying at my cousins house and she doesn't have a dish washer so she and my husband have been doing most of the washing.  I have been drying and putting away.
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- We have been doing dishes every day and night because the sink and the kitchen isn't that big and we are 5 people living in the same space which always leads to new challenges.
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family) - Never been a week that I was more excited to have posts up but I didn't have anything done for Friday and through the weekend.  I worked on a post for a recipe which I was going to try to get up on Friday but I didn't finish so I posted on Saturday.  Hopefully, I will have enough going on for next week already done because I am not going to be home for the week.
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- I have one book that I finished and review should be coming shortly.
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week
  • Participate in blog hops to share posts with others
  • Post Sunday Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, Kid Wednesday and Thrifty Thursday Tip- Done

Weekly Goals 4/6

Another week flying by and I swear that if I don't plan everything out that it doesn't get done.  I get to the end of the week and I see that the laundry has piled up and I realize that I didn't put it on the list.  Oh well, I always hope that my week will get less complicated or less busy but as soon as that happens, we add more activities for it to be as full as possible.  Do you still have that same problem?

I know that I am a list person but this seems to be getting a little crazy.  I wish that my son needed some down time because I know that I do.  I try to work in a few things that get him doing something not so active so that I get a little break but thinking about it makes me know that this summer is going to be hard on me with him home for months!  I need a better plan.  Does anyone else have a plan for what they are going to to do this summer?

This week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family - We had great family dinners and lots of time together
  • Soccer game- We got to spend Saturday together with soccer practice and game which was super entertaining.  Have you ever watched 5 year olds play soccer?  It was super fun and we all ended up with a little too much sun.
  • Register my son for Kindergarten!!!!  I can't believe it is already here.- I went in and turned in all my paperwork so my son is officially going to be a kindergarten student next year
  • Playdate with friends after school (another mom and I are switching days picking the kids up from school so we get one day with no kids for most of the day and then another where the kids entertain each other so it is the best of both worlds so this should be her free day)- I watched the kids on Thursday after school so that my friend could get her basement painted.
Personal Goals
  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday- I got my coupons on Friday but I had to make a few stops to do it.  I got all my papers and I was pretty excited to see two inserts but that means a lot of cutting this week.
  • Cut coupons (two inserts from this week and one from last)- I cut all my coupons from last week early in the week and luckily didn't have to worry about them for the rest of the week.  I even went through my whole coupon pile to get out expired coupons from the coupons that I don't think that I am going to use and hope to start selling on ebay.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I shut off the computer every night and saved lots of energy because I wasn't home for most of the day time too!
  • Teach couponing class for moms- I taught the group a little bit and I hope that I covered everything to get them started.  There is so much information and it normally takes me a long time to go over everything but I did it in 2 hours.
  • Subbing at school three days- Lots of work this week and I got to work in two different classes that I don't normally work in so it was fun.
  • Post additional coupons for sale to ebay (?)- I cleaned out my coupons and got them organized but I didn't put up any.  It is hard because it is something that I need to do every day and get momentum on but it often looses steam when I get to my coupon limit and then I don't get the next batch up when I can do it again.  UGH!  Hoping to do some next week but it will be a hassle to do it when my parents are here because I don't get a lot of time on the computer.
  • Finish reading Happy Family book- I finished reading the book and enjoying all of the different lessons it was teaching so review should be coming soon.
  • Find next book to read- I picked up the next Janet Evanovich book.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I cleaned up all week before going to bed and again in the morning.  It was not horrible this week but I didn't do a lot of baking or other fun things in the kitchen so there wasn't a lot of clean up.
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- I cleaned the dishes on one night so that I would be totally clean in the morning and my husband did it on another but he left the bread machine pan.
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family)- Got all of my stuff posted except the recipe that I was supposed to do on Saturday because I got it all done and didn't have the rest of the pictures loaded on the computer yet and I totally forgot to go back and download them.  Oh well, I got it up late at night instead of when it was supposed to but better late then never.
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- Reviews will be posted next week.
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week - I didn't get a great start on next week except that I worked a little on my different lesson plans.  I got some ideas down for Thrifty Thursdays but I need to do a little more work.  I hope to get some work done on Sunday to start off the week right but I don't even know where to start so we will see!
  • Post Month End posts for Reading, Cooking, Budget and Coupons- I posted my reading and budget.  I posted the coupons that could be printed for the month.  I looked through the recipes and decided to skip posting the monthly review because I didn't get up the recipes that I made in time so I will try to do two months combined when I get the recipes up.
  • Participate in blog hops to share posts with others- I had a week where I opened up the link ups and didn't get much farther.  I am not sure if I did post some things or not but hope to get more work done next week when I am not working.
  • Post Sunday Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, Kid Wednesday and Thrifty Thursday Tip- I got them all posted this week.

Weekly Goals 3/30

My son is on the mend and as always, my mom body waits until he feels better to send me down the terrible road to sickness.  Although there is nothing worse then feeling sick at the same time as your kid and trying to take care of them when you don't want to get out of bed....I just thought I missed this cold but I was wrong.  Feeling yucky and getting nothing done!  Do you know the last time I went to exercise because I don't!!  I really need to get things back together and get on a better schedule so that I can stay healthy with summer coming up.  Hope that you are not fighting off any of the horrible colds going around because it is not fun!

Last week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family - You get to spend lots of time together when people are sick which doesn't seem fair but we were all stuck in the house together for a few days sharing our germs.  We are planning on a much healthier and fun week next week.
  • Library program- Cancelled because of sickness
  • Playdate with friends after school (another mom and I are switching days picking the kids up from school so we get one day with no kids for most of the day and then another where the kids entertain each other so it is the best of both worlds so this should be her free day)- Cancelled because of sickness
Personal Goals
  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday- Got them on Friday after work
  • Cut coupons (two inserts)- Cut one.  Does that count as half credit?
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I did great shutting off the computer whenever I was out of the house and at night this week.
  • Teach couponing class- Cancelled because of sickness
  • Subbing at school one days- I ended up in the office one day and subbing the other day
  • Post additional coupons for sale to ebay- Cancelled because of sickness...haha!  I just didn't get time with having my son home sick and then getting sick.
  • Finish reading Janet Evanovich and Happy Family book (reading both)- I finished two Janet Evanovich books and returned one to the library but my son fell asleep on the second trip to the library.  I read a bunch more of the Happy Family book but haven't finished it yet.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I kept the kitchen pretty clean until the end of the week where it looked like a bomb went off because I made applesauce bread and pound cake and lost all of my energy to the sickness that I thought I missed.  Here is hoping elves come in the night and clean :)
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- Early in the week I got the kitchen all cleaned up and one night we did leftovers so it was easy cleaning but the rest of the week still had a little clean up in the morning.
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family) - Done
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- Done
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week - Done but only a little
  • Participate in blog hops to share posts with others- Done
  • Post Sunday Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, Kid Wednesday and Thrifty Thursday Tip- Done

Weekly Goals 3/23

So tired and got so little work done on my blog last week between my parents being in town and my three days at work.  I barely got up a post on Friday and it wasn't what I was planning.  I didn't have much to talk about on Saturday because there were so many other things to do so blogging has taken a little bit of a back seat to all of my other stuff and I am sorry.  I hope that you aren't disappointed to not find the number of posts I normally do in a week but I am trying.  How did your week go??

Last week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family with grandparents before they leave- My son had a blast with his grandparents here because they would buy him anything that he wanted and play anything he wanted.  He had them on the floor doing puzzles and reading more books then I could count.
  • Birthday party for my son's classmate- He had a great time at the gymnastics party and came home saying that he wanted that kind of party when it was his birthday party which he did after the bowling party and every other party he has been too.  I think that he just likes parties!
  • Playdate with son's friend from school- I dropped my son off at his friends house after school and they got to play for a few hours and he had a blast and I got to clean up the house a little while he was there.
  • Playdate with friends after school (another mom and I are switching days picking the kids up from school so we get one day with no kids for most of the day and then another where the kids entertain each other so it is the best of both worlds so this should be her free day)- I took her daughter for a few hours while she went to the doctor and then she took my son for a few hours the next day and I took a nap!  Yup, I did barely anything productive with my time but put the dough in the bread maker to make rolls.
Personal Goals
  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday- It took a lot of remembering but I grabbed what they had at the library and we stopped at Giant to get the rest that we needed.  I got all of them and even recycled the papers that we didn't need so it was super successful.
  • Cut coupons (two inserts)- I had my parents help me separate papers and I got all my coupons cut.  It was entertaining to see them sort because they were flipping their hands over each other trying to figure out where to put things....there was luckily only one mistake which I caught before cutting the coupon in half.  It was nice to have help on sorting them.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I shut off the computer every night and every time I left the house so it was off a lot of the time.
  • Subbing at school three days- I worked three days this week and got in a little bit of routine which does make things easier but it still doesn't leave a lot of free time without my little helper.
  • Post additional coupons for sale to ebay- I didn't post anything this week because my parents were in town and I didn't want to be running back and forth to the post office every day with them in town and then I was working.  I was a little sad to not get things up but I hope to work on it this weekend.
  • Finish review book- I had to go back and look to see which book I was talking but but I did finish it and posted review.
  • Read next movie book- I got the next movie book out of the library and it was huge which should have motivated me to start on it right away but it motivated me to start on another book instead because I couldn't carry that one back and forth to work all week because my bag is always so packed.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I cleaned the kitchen all week and kept the kitchen as clean as possible with all of the traffic in it with extra guests.
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- My husband fell asleep on the couch so I decided to go and clean the dishes on Thursday night watching some of the TV show in the kitchen at the same time.  I got all the dishes cleaned and baked my rolls in the oven at the same time.  I was super excited to have an easy morning because I also got all of the lunches mostly ready and then just had to get the refrigerated stuff in the morning.
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family) - I got most of my posts up before time but didn't have them all done ahead so it was a little hard to try to finish some in the middle of doing a million other things.
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- I don't know if I got any books finished this week so I had to check my posts to see what the last book I reviewed was before I realized that I did finish and review my book for Blogging for Books.  It was good but I guess it seems like ages away.
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week - I got my Monday and Wednesday post done by Friday night so I was making bring progress but I had nothing else done so it was my mission to get them worked on Saturday.
  • Participate in blog hops to share posts with others- I honestly don't have a clue what I have linked up to this week but I don't think that it was much early in the week so that leaves going back and figuring it out.
  • Post Sunday Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, Kid Wednesday and Thrifty Thursday Tip- I got them all posted on time with a little extra work at the last minute that I am not usually doing.
This week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family
  • Library program

Weekly Goals 3/16

I think that I might have tried to fit a little too much into the week and might need a week to recover...sadly, I didn't plan an easy week next week either.  I worked this week for three days and I don't know how people do this full time because there aren't enough hours in the day.  I certainly try to do as much as I can while I have time but I am tired and fighting off a cold now!  Here is what I got done this week and what I have posted for next week.

This week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family with grandparents- We had a fun week with the grandparents here and my son was in heaven with all the attention.  He made short work of wrapping them around his little finger and had them taking him wherever he wanted and playing games and reading books all the time.  He is going to go into detox next week with only me to entertain him :)
  • Playdate with friends and couponing class- We went to our friends house and while the kids were playing we went over couponing basics.  She has already gone to the store and gotten some deals so she is pretty excited.
  • Playdate with friends after school (another mom and I are switching days picking the kids up from school so we get one day with no kids for most of the day and then another where the kids entertain each other so it is the best of both worlds so this should be my free day)- Thankfully, my friend watched the two kids after school so I could get in my last kid free trip to the HT GM promo.
  • Visited my son's school and got to meet the principal
Personal Goals
  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday- I got all my papers in one stop and I was super happy!  Thank goodness for one thing going my way.
  • Cut coupons (three inserts)- I got all my coupons cut before my family came so that I could have them all put away so I was pretty excited with myself since there were three inserts and a busy week.  It is so good to get a jump on it over the weekend to start the week off right.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I had my computer off every night and then I shut it off every time I left the house for a long period of time so I saved tons of energy and the computer was actually working well when I turned it on.
  • Set up and fund Roth IRA and meet with financial advisor- So glad that I got this done and crossed off the list.
  • Jazzercise (one day-hopefully Tuesday before company comes)- Worked instead :( No Jazzercise!
  • Subbing at school one day- I worked three days this week instead which put a kink in the plan of getting things done.  It was super busy with trying to get rid of
  • Post additional coupons for sale to ebay until I reach my limit
  • Meet with son's school- We had a meeting with my son's future principal to get a tour of the school.  It was nice to set my mind at ease about the education and process that they use at the school so I am crossing my fingers and hoping to learn more through the process.
  • Meet with financial advisor- We had a long meeting with my financial person and I transferred over my 401K from my last job so that everything is all in the same paperwork.  I also opened up a Roth IRA.  I don't know if I feel better about things but at least I got two things checked off my list.
  • Read next review book- I started the book and started reading but I didn't get it finished.  It is a great book and hope to have the review up next week.
  • Read next movie book- I didn't get to start on this book and it is due at the library soon so I better have more free time to read quickly.  Don't know if I am going to start it or just return it and reserve it again to try again when I don't fit too much in.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I did so much cleaning this week and the kitchen fought back but I got it mostly clean until my parents got here and that always gets out of control quickly with 5 of us in the house.
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- I went into the kitchen and did the dishes one night while watching TV and then I did them another night but left one pan soaking until morning.  I even ran and emptied the dishwasher one night so that I didn't have to wait until morning to clean up what was left.  I did a great job even though there were still way too many dishes.
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family) - I got up 6 days and didn't post the Saturday post until way later in the day but still got lots of family time and wish that I did get it done earlier in the week.
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- Reviews were posted this week but I didn't finish any books this week so there are no new reviews outstanding.
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week - HAHA!!  I got nothing done for the week.
  • Participate in blog hops to share posts with others- I read a bunch of blogs and I am going to do my link ups on Sunday while my parents are away so that I can work in peace but I have done some linkups already this week.
  • Post Sunday Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, Kid Wednesday and Thrifty Thursday Tip - All scheduled and posted for the week.
This week:

  • Spend time with family with grandparents before they leave
  • Birthday party for my son's classmate
  • Playdate with son's friend from school
  • Playdate with friends after school (another mom and I are switching days picking the kids up from school so we get one day with no kids for most of the day and then another where the kids entertain each other so it is the best of both worlds so this should be her free day)
Personal Goals
  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday
  • Cut coupons (two inserts)
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy
  • Subbing at school three days
  • Post additional coupons for sale to ebay

Weekly Goals 3/9

We had a busy week but got lots done.  My husband finished sanding, priming and painting the area around our guest room door so that he can put up new molding.  He has been taking done the very banged up trim work around the house and getting historic molding to replace it.  It is a big job but this is the last of the four doorways in that hallway so I am hoping to be done soon and on to the next project on his list.  I got to go to work twice this week and still finished reading two books with review posted soon.  I got lots of stuff going on ebay and sales coming up so I am hoping to make a little over $50 this month with a little more hard work (crossing my fingers).  Lots of progress with an appointment with my son's school for next year and a financial person to go over retirement stuff next week so we are in for another busy week which is hopefully going to be just as productive!!

Last week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family - We got a lot of time together this weekend.  The boys joined me on a trip to the store and then ended up dropping me off and playing at the playground behind the store while I got the groceries.  We played outside with the neighbors and enjoyed the first day with good weather in awhile.
  • Go to the library to pick up some new books- We went to the library on Friday and got a bunch of books on the planets because my son visited the planetarium and had a blast.  He wanted to learn more so we found lots of books and are on the search for a few more soon.
  • Playdate with friends after school (another mom and I are switching days picking the kids up from school so we get one day with no kids for most of the day and then another where the kids entertain each other so it is the best of both worlds so this should be my free day)- We actually went over to our friends house one day and then I got both kids the next day because we have had so much snow and the kids are going a little stir crazy being stuck inside.  I think that the playdate did them both good but they were a little wild so here is hoping that the next snow storm doesn't keep up locked in the house again.
  • Playdate with friends over at the house- My son feel asleep 15 minutes before they got there and it took a little bit to wake him up but he was so excited to see his friend that he jumped off the couch and was ready to play.
  • Mom's Day at school so I get to spent the day with my son- My son has been so excited about this and it isn't like I am not in his school pretty much every week and for the last two days but we  met all the other mom's (and some grandmas) in the class and talk to the teachers.  I set up a few playdates at the same time because my son is begging me to set up another one soon with some friends that we haven't played with yet and some that we already have.
Personal Goals
  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday- With two stops, I got my papers and headed home to sort them all out.  I even got one sorted and almost cut before getting into making dinner but I hope to have them cut on Sunday or early in the week next week.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I shut off the computer at night and when I was leaving to work for the morning so that it was off and got lots of rest.  It is doing really well but don't let it know that my husband is working on it's replacement with one with a newer operating system so that I don't have so many problems printing coupons.
  • Jazzercise (one day)- HA!  Snow day followed by late arrival and then short day and two days of work so no Jazzercise.  I would have gone on Saturday but then I had Mom's day at my son's school.  Oh well, next week!!
  • Subbing at school- I was supposed to work one day and I got called in another so it was a long week with two days that I didn't get free at the end and snow days at the beginning.
  • Post additional coupons for sale to ebay until I reach my limit- I posted a bunch of coupons over the last few days and I have done really well this month getting pretty good money for my coupons.  I think that I must be getting better and picking and posting because my sales are getting better.  I hope that it is only a sign that it will improve and hopefully I will figure out a process to take a little less time because it is time consuming to get pictures and post everything.  I am not at my limit but that was done on purpose so I left a few spots in case some really good coupons come up.
  • Finish menu plan for March- I filled a lot of it in with the different meals that we already have in the house and had six spaces left and stopped.  I was so excited about how much progress that I made that I forgot to pick it up and finish it.  Filled in the rest on Saturday night!!
  • Read Balanced and post review (electronic preview through publisher)- Read and review posted.
  • Read one of my Books to be movies soon- I am reading one of my movie books and it wasn't my favorite book because of the subject matter and the fact that it was set in England (sometimes I can get used to the weird words but this book seems to stick out for me and I can't get over the way the characters are talking).
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I cleaned the kitchen every day and didn't seem to make it a really big mess except when I made the red hot popcorn (recipe coming soon).
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- This week seems a little like a blur but I feel like every time I turned around I was running the dishwasher and doing dishes.  one night my husband fell asleep on the couch and I went into the kitchen and did the dishes and put them all away while I was watching the last TV show so whatever night that was the kitchen was clean (minus the bread pan which I took out of the bread machine after cleaning all the dishes).  This is why I never get ahead because there are still dishes waiting for me the next morning.
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family) - Luckily I got a lot done ahead and had everything posted because I was working some of the time that I was supposed to be working on my blog but I was covered with all of the work that I already put in but that leaves a busy weekend to get ready for next week.
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- Done
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week - I was totally out of posts so I worked on them on Saturday afternoon and evening.  I had a few other posts that I am going to work on Sunday to try to get the week planned out.  With those posts, I should be good for the week and I have to get a lot going for next week because my parents will be here and they are not great about giving me time to work.
  • Participate in blog hops to share posts with others- I posted a few recipes and my kids stuff to a few different blogs and I hope to go through and see what I missed but I often get so busy that I look at other people's ideas and get so caught up that I forget to post my posts too.
  • Post Sunday Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, Kid Wednesday and Thrifty Thursday Tip - Done
This week:

Family Goals

Personal Goals

Weekly Goals 3/2

I can't believe how much I got done in a week and it seems like Super Doubles was over ages ago (especially since I got everything to fit into the cupboards).  I worked this week and still got in time to get lots of things done.  I made a to do list on Friday that was the whole side of a piece of paper so I knew that I needed to get a lot done and I pushed and did most of it on Friday with a few things carrying over to the weekend.  I am exhausted and ended up taking a nap instead of doing everything that I should have gotten done on Saturday but it was the end to a great week.  I hope that you had a productive and relaxing week too!!!

Last week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family- We had lots of fun with a bowling party and an afternoon of family movies so it was lots of fun getting some quiet time with everyone.
  • Playdate with friends and it is the mom's birthday- We went to the park with friends and the mom got a special surprise that she was treated to a day off and a massage so I met up with the dad and his kid.  My son didn't even take a second look because it was his dad and not his mom and they went to playing although one mom on the playground asked me how far apart they were and when I said 6 months, I realized that she thought they were both mine.  Nope!
  • Playdate with friends after school (another mom and I are switching days picking the kids up from school so we get one day with no kids for most of the day and then another where the kids entertain each other so it is the best of both worlds so this should be my free day)- My son went to their house this time and he had a blast.  It was not fun trying to drag him out of there but he slept really soundly that night and we got him to sleep all the way until 7 am.  I told her whatever she did, she was welcome to do it anytime.
Personal Goals
  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday- I got them on Friday at the library and my husband stopped and got a few at Giant so it was great to get out of the way.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I shut off the computer every night this week and got it off for most of the days that we weren't here and when we left.
  • Finally back to Jazzercise??- Even though I wasn't feeling great, I went on the only day that I had time so I at least got back into the routine.
  • Post additional coupons for sale to ebay- I posted a few more coupons to end out the month which should close in the next few days.  I made it over $50 this month so that was my goal.  I am hoping to be able to do it every month and see how long I can do it before getting burned out because it is a lot of work but it makes a little money so we will see how long it is worthwhile.
  • Get two or three more trips in to Harris Teeter Super Doubles- I wish that they had a little more stock but I made all of my trips and sadly didn't get all of the things that I wanted and I forgot some of the rain checks again when I had forgot to write them down so it was sad to see it over but hopefully I will be able to use the rain checks and coupons next time.
  • Make menu plan for March- Well, this has been a problem because I have the calendar and I even updated the list of freezer items and I keep staring at the page and not being able to get very far.  I put a few things on the list and then stop because I just can't get in the mood for thinking about food.  I think that it is a good thing to do when you are hungry and not tired...sadly, there aren't many times that I am not often hungry and not busy making a meal.  I have a few things filled in and there are a lot more to go.  I am going to work more on it tomorrow and cross my fingers that I get it all done.
  • Finish Wild book (true story which is going to be made into a movie soon)- I finished and posted the review so you should see it soon.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I did the keep the kitchen pretty clean this week but I had another messy week so I cleaned the floor and got down on my hands and knees to scrub it more.  It ended up much better then how I started and it was a great thing to keep us much cleaner for the coming week.
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- We did this together earlier this week and then we did leftover night on Saturday so all the dishes were done and in the dishwasher to start the week off on the right foot.
  • Schedule tree removal in back yard- We scheduled the tree removal Tuesday and it was done on Wednesday and the stump was removed on Thursday.  The yard looks bigger with it gone and we are one step closer to figuring out how we are going to fix our fence.
  • Take the remaining fence posts out of the back yard to remove fence- We got a few of the fence posts out but some of them they are very heavy with cement so it is going to take a little bit more work to get them pulled out so my husband is going to have to get some extra hands.
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family) - I got all my posts scheduled this week ahead of time and I had a lot of extra time which I filled up with fun things with my son.
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- Review is posted and list of all of the books that I read in February should be coming up soon to.
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week- I got a few posts up for the coming week and I have to look at it and see what else I need to get done but I think that I am on to a new week and totally prepared.
  • Post Sunday Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, Kid Wednesday and Thrifty Thursday Tip- Got everything posted this week.
This week:

Family Goals

  • Go to the library to pick up some new books

Weekly Goals 2/23

I can't believe how quickly this week went by and how much I actually fit into it.  I had a lot of things planned already this week and then super doubles came up.  I worked as hard as I could to get myself ready and keep myself ready through the week without having a mess and I think that I did a good job since I wanted to be a good example for all of my friends learning to coupon with me!  I got to work two days at my son's school which was exhausting but fun and now I am headed to bed early to get a good nights sleep.  I hope that you had a great week as well and another great week planned next week!

Last week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family - We had a great week together which ended in Daddy's Dad at the school so my husband took my son to see his school and talk to the teachers and then to the Bring Your Own Wheels event at the school afterwards.  I even got an extra break which I wasn't sure what to do with because they went to Lowes so I got busy on the computer with my amazingly silent house.
  • Playdate with friends after school (another mom and I are switching days picking the kids up from school so we get one day with no kids for most of the day and then another where the kids entertain each other so it is the best of both worlds)- We got to have the friend over to our house this week and the two played together really well and didn't want to be done when it was time to leave.
Personal Goals
  • Cut coupons from this week- I cut my coupons a little early this week because I was set to be prepared for the super doubles at Harris Teeter.  I cleaned out all of my expired coupons and then I got everything printed, filed and a list made.  It was super organized woman and I don't know where she came from.
  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday- I checked three places and the local paper doesn't seem to have the coupons this week so I didn't get any :(  Bad news no coupons, good news is no cutting.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I shut off the computer every day that we were gone from the house and every night before it was time to go to sleep.
  • Finally back to Jazzercise- HAHA!!!  I got called to sub and instead of saying no and going to exercise, I said yes and went to work.  I was going to go on Saturday morning but I decided do a couponing thing and should have moved it earlier but with so many things going on, I didn't know which way was up.  It didn't happen this week!
  • Go to Lakeshore Learning Teacher class- I wanted to go last month and didn't make it because when it got that late in the day, I forgot.  I signed up for the one next month too so hopefully I will remember.
  • Sub two days-  I went in two days and had lots of fun doing the Olympics with the little ones.
  • Work on posting to ebay- This take a lot of time but I think that am doing better now with the coupons that I am choosing to sell and managing my time.  I got a bunch up and it is almost the end of the month so I have a few more open spots to use this month and a few more coupons that I would like to get up. Currently a little under $35 in profit for the month and hope to get a little more in to be around $45 to $50.  It is a lot of work and I tend to wonder if it is worth this much work to make $40 which I can make in one morning subbing at school but I am making a profit off of no investment so I am going to keep at it until I am out of stamps that I bought at the $0.46 rate and then re-evaluate.
  • Start Wild book (true story which is going to be made into a movie soon)- I wanted to start it but the first time I picked it up was bedtime and I wasn't sure if it would be a good bedtime book based on the content so I read another book in the pile first and finished it and started this book.  It actually has barely talked about being on a mountain or in the wilderness yet so I don't know how it is going to be but it is a good story so far.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I did pretty good cleaning the dishes all week.  There was one night where I should have run the dishwasher before I went to bed and I totally forgot so there was a little back up the next day when I was over filled but I found room for lots more things and had a jammed packed full dishwasher so it all worked out fine.
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- I did this early in the week one night and my husband did it another night and I got them all done on Friday night because we decided to have leftovers which saves on dishes that don't go into the dishwasher.
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family) - Got lots of posts up and scheduled ahead of time which gave me the time to do all of the other things that I had on my long list of to dos.
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- Review should be up soon.
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week- Not nearly what I wanted to get done this week but I got the rough draft of a ton of them and I am going to try to get some scheduled late on Saturday (many of the rough drafts finished and posted) and work on some new posts on Sunday.  I think that I have a good rough schedule for the rest of the month.
  • Post Sunday Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, Kid Wednesday and Thrifty Thursday Tip- I got them up and posted ahead of time which was good because it was a busy week with out a lot of time for me to get them done.
This week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family
  • Playdate with friends and it is the mom's birthday
  • Playdate with friends after school (another mom and I are switching days picking the kids up from school so we get one day with no kids for most of the day and then another where the kids entertain each other so it is the best of both worlds so this should be my free day)

Weekly Goals 2/16

This week was long and short at the same time.  Early in the week, I was working which always makes the days go quickly.  There were two snow days which were a little rough to be stuck inside with the little man but the great news is that my husband was home too so we had great family time.  My son also had a great night out at his school which was a nice little break for us too even though we just made dinner at home and watched a TV show on Hulu.  It was a quiet little break.  We all had a tiring but fun week!

Last week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family - We got a lot of quality time out in the snow this week since we had a snow day on Thursday and Friday with snow lasting through the weekend (and the clean up taking that long).
  • Son's dentist appointment- We went to a new dentist and it went well and my son got his balloons, stickers, and prize (as well as toothpaste, toothbrush and floss).
  • Playdate with friends- We weren't sure what we were going to be able to do with the snow coming in but we got to play with friends after school on Wednesday and then we had some other friends come over to go sledding on Friday.
Personal Goals
  • Cut coupons from this week and last- Super excited that I got all my coupons cut from this week and last.
  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday- I didn't make it on Friday because of the snow but I went on Saturday and got them at the library.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I shut off the computer every night and lots of days but it did get lots of work when it was on :)
  • Subbing at preschool 2 days- Worked on Tuesday and Wednesday...I had a job to work on Thursday and Friday but school was cancelled.
  • Finally back to Jazzercise- HAHA!  What was I thinking because it snowed and I didn't make it and even if it didn't snow, I ended up having those two days to work.
  • Finish book from the library from Janet Evanovich 7th- Finished and review posted
  • Start the 8th book in the series- Finished and review posted.  I read another Alexander McCall Smith book and the Giver by Lois Lowry.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I cleaned up most of the week and got it more clean than it is on a normal week even though we were in the house for most of the week. I even got to make blueberry muffins on Thursday and coffee cake on Saturday (and cookies earlier in the week).
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- I got them all cleaned up during the week a few times and did the others in the morning when I didn't.  Having time off with my husband not at work too allowed us to get a lot more done (even if we were making more mess).
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family) - I posted a lot of things this week.
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- Did my reading and review for all of the books that I read this week.
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week- Not the greatest job this week in getting things done because we were spending lots of family time together.  I guess everything comes at a cost :)
  • Post Sunday Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, Kid Wednesday and Thrifty Thursday Tip- I got everything posted but opted for some other posting on Thursday since I didn't have any ideas on what to share from my thrifty idea bank.
This week:

Weekly Goals 2/9

We had a busy week last week with so many things going on and it is hard to figure out how people do all this with a job because just working two half days was all of the time that I had because it was hard to get things done with little free time.  I got a little bit of free time to go to the store and get things done like cleaning and laundry.  Looking forward to getting back into things next week but two days working again next week so hoping to keep organized to get everything done.

Last week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family - We had lots of great family time this week and we hoping my son would be interested in the Olympics but not so far :)
  • My son's five year check up- Went to the doctor and he took two shots like a champ with no crying.  Love that boy!!  Brought along two new toys just in case but he was just as excited to get them.
  • Event at the library (if we are feeling better)- We went to Legos at the library which was after the doctor and he had a blast.
  • We went to a storytime program and Lakeshore learning on Saturday and were busy all day
  • Playdate with friends- We went to a friends house after school on Wednesday and had a friend over to our house on Thursday.
Personal Goals
  • Cut coupons- I didn't do it yet but I hope to get to it soon.
  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday- I got my coupons on Friday after working so I was pretty excited to get it done before forgetting.
  • Take pictures of my son's art work and get it organized- I took pictures of all my son's art work and recycled some of the paper and got the ones that we were keeping in a pile.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I shut off the computer every night and most days that I wasn't home.
  • Subbing at preschool 3 days- I worked two days this week and one was rescheduled because of the late opening from ice.
  • Massage!!!  (Yeah, thanks Aunt Joy and Uncle Lenny for the gift certificate)- I went and got my massage and the lady beat me up a little but I think that it worked out some of my tight spots.  She said that I was a mess and I should come back in two weeks...well, wouldn't we all love a massage every two weeks but it isn't in the budget.
  • Finish reading 5th book by Janet Evanovich- I finished the book and review should be up soon.
  • Start on next book in the pile from the library from Janet Evanovich 6th- Finished the 6th book and review should be posted soon and started the 7th book which is finished soon.

Weekly Goals 2/2

I had a busy week and we all got a little bit sick.  My son is the worst but we are dealing with the exhaustion and trying to get better.  Here is hoping that we can make it through the busy week and stay a little healthy.  I was hoping to get things done last week to get organized but it didn't happen.  I did get my baking mixes made and put in the cupboard and I made my biscuit mix too.  I did get four waffles made and frozen but we don't have a lot of other things ready for the week so just planning for the best and hoping we get lucky.  How does your week look?

Last week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family- We got to spend a lot of time together this week and I think that we all came down with a little bit of the cold.  I think that my son might be the worst but we need some rest because we all have a busy next week!
  • Go to Music and Movement class- We had a great time at music and movement class and got to enjoy some time playing instruments and then reading in the library.
  • Playdate with a friend- We had a friend over to the house after a library event and they have tons of fun playing.  I think that they would play all day if we let them.
  • Event at library- We went to a science event at the library which wasn't really great but my son got to bring home a container of snow and ice and see which one melted to more water.  We also got to make a pipe cleaner snowflake.  We also went to a music program on Friday at a different library because we had two teacher work days this week.
  • Return lots of stuff at the library- I returned some DVDs to the library but I was going to try to return some of the books but I got caught by the little man and had to keep them.  I did return some of my books as well so we are way below the limit.
Personal Goals
  • Cut coupons- I cut my coupons on Sunday or Monday and got totally organized.  I was super glad to be ahead of the game! There were also 4 inserts so it was a lot of work.
  • Get coupons on Friday- I got them on Saturday because I totally forgot about Friday and I think that Saturday might be my new go to day because it seems like it might be easier to find them in stock by then.
  • Take pictures of my son's art work and get it organized- I took some pictures and then got stopped and didn't make a dent in the pile that I promised last time wouldn't get out of hand and I have a huge pile of all my son's art work piled up again.  Hopefully next week but I am not crossing my fingers.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I forgot to shut off the computer one night but I had it off lots and got it to give it a rest.
  • Dental cleaning- I got my teeth cleaned and it felt nice to have them clean again!
  • Couponing class with NVFS- I did my couponing class and got out as much information as I could in the short time so hopefully someone decides that they can use the information and start saving for themselves.
  • Subbing at preschool- I subbed at school one day and my son got to enjoy a lunch bunch.
  • Post more items on ebay and maintain spreadsheet - I put as many things on ebay and then I got an error that said that I couldn't do anymore because there was a limit on coupon sales.
  • Finish reading Blue Skies by Robyn Carr- Finished and review posted.
  • Start on next book in the pile from the library from Janet Evanovich (I have 4, 5 and 6)- I read and finished the 4th book and I am starting on the 5th.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- There was a lot of cleaning this week for another messy kitchen.  I really need to stop using it!
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- I know that I did them some early in the week and again on Thursday and Saturday night.  I did really well getting all of the dishes done a little this week.
Blog Goals

  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- I got all of the book read and reviews posted.
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week- I got a little bit done and posted but I still have a little more work to do to get ready for the month.  I hope to get more done on Sunday so that I am all set for the week at least.

Weekly Goals 1/26

How did your week go this week?  I am finally getting over the tooth/sinus issue and starting to feel better but the weather is horrible.  I am so over the cold and want to have good temperatures again.  I feel like I am back in New York but without all of the snow gear to deal with it.  I didn't get a lot done with having my son home most of the week but I was planning on a quiet week to get back on track after birthday madness.  I think that it helped a little and now we just have to figure out where all the new presents are going to go (which is my job to do and I have been putting it off).  I don't have a lot of room left with the toys and I can't figure out the Lego sets but I know I need to get some Rubbermaid tubs to get them organized.  Here is hoping that I can clean out a corner of the basement and move some downstairs so that the play area isn't over run!!!  Here is hoping for a new house with a great play area :)

Hope you had a great week and have another great plan for next week!!!

Last week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family (and grandparents and sister in law)- We had a great week and all of our company was gone by Monday so we had a quiet rest of the week with the snow starting right after our three day weekend so it got extended.
  • Birthday Pizza party for son with his aunt- We had a ton of pizza and everything with it on Sunday to start the week and we ate the leftovers for a few days.  There was lots of yummy food and lots of great conversation.
  • Sledding-  We went out sledding..okay, my son did the sledding and I drank my hot tea at the top of the hill and cheered.  He had a blast after he got used to it but it took a little bit for him to get over the fear part and enjoy it.
  • Playdate with friends after school- We had a great time playing with friends after they got out of school on Friday and we even lost track of the time because the kids were playing so well.
Personal Goals
  • Cut coupons- I cut my coupons on one of the snow days while my son was entertained on Wed or Thursday and got them all put away.  I even got all of my expired coupons sorted out and coupon basket cleaned up.  Excited because the top closes again!!
  • Get coupons on Friday - Remembered in the morning and forgot by the afternoon so I got my papers on Saturday.  Super big week this week with three big inserts!!!  I have a lot of cutting ahead of me and some good coupons in there.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I had the computer shut off most of the time because I was afraid that the power was going to go out at any time with all of our storms but things actually weren't bad with the power.  The computer appreciated the rest :)
  • Dentist follow up on root canal and medicines- Went to the dentist and everything is fine so I finally got to schedule my cleaning for later this month.
  • Post more items on ebay and maintain spreadsheet - Sold some more stuff and updated the spreadsheet.  I had to cut coupons to get a few more things posted and I kept putting it off for other more fun things to do...oops!  I posted a few more and sold some and added some more.  I have so much more to do but only 24 more free listings and I want to make them count but I guess it doesn't really matter because there is only a week left so I am going to try to get a bunch up next week and see what goes.
  • Sub two days at the preschool- We had a snow day so I wasn't sure when I was going to be subbing and if school was going to ever start back up but I was ready!  I am going to do one next week and one the week after.  I also have another teacher to sub for that week and I have at least 6 more on the calendar in the next two months.
  • Teach couponing class to Moms- Got a few more people to learn about couponing and it gave me a chance to practice for the NVFS presentation that I have next week.
  • Go to Jazzercise- Snow was crazy this week so I didn't get to go but hoping to get back on track soon!!
  • Finish reading Two for the Dough- Finished, review posted and it was returned to the library
  • Start on next book in the pile from the library from Robyn Carr or Janet Evanovich- I decided to go with the next one in the Stephanie Plum series which was directly following up after the book I just finished.  Luckily, got some of my snow day to make big progress so I went to the next book in the pile after that which I finished and started on the next.  Quick run to the library to get the next few books to read!!
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I got the kitchen pretty clean this week although I am not sure if I have just lowered my standards this week because after having family in town, everything looks tons cleaner!  I felt bad about it so I crawled around on my hands and knees and cleaned the floor and did a second cleaning of the counters.  I think that things are a little better then I thought and pretty clean after a visit and a party :)
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- I usually try to do my best at doing the dishes all at night but it sometimes depends on timing because if we don't have dinner early enough, I can't get all the dishes done before my son's bedtime and then all bets are off.  Well, Tuesday night we got the little man dressed in pjs and he was watching some TV on the couch snuggled under some covers.  My husband and I went in the kitchen and we loaded the dishwasher.  Then, he washed and I dried.  We got all the dishes done.  My husband looked at the huge pile and was wondering how the sink was empty when he went to work and there were piles on both sides and in the sink by the time he got back.  That is the joy of making bread, making chicken broth, and a few other things like lunch and dinner dishes.  We got all the dishes done and the little man was asleep on the couch so my husband carried him up and put him in bed.  If I could only have that good of timing all week, we would be all set.
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family) - I actually got most of the week scheduled on Monday when I was working to get ahead and schedule the rest of the month and get some of the stuff done that was a little back logged with all of the family in town and my son's birthday party.
