Weekly Goals 2/16

This week was long and short at the same time.  Early in the week, I was working which always makes the days go quickly.  There were two snow days which were a little rough to be stuck inside with the little man but the great news is that my husband was home too so we had great family time.  My son also had a great night out at his school which was a nice little break for us too even though we just made dinner at home and watched a TV show on Hulu.  It was a quiet little break.  We all had a tiring but fun week!

Last week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family - We got a lot of quality time out in the snow this week since we had a snow day on Thursday and Friday with snow lasting through the weekend (and the clean up taking that long).
  • Son's dentist appointment- We went to a new dentist and it went well and my son got his balloons, stickers, and prize (as well as toothpaste, toothbrush and floss).
  • Playdate with friends- We weren't sure what we were going to be able to do with the snow coming in but we got to play with friends after school on Wednesday and then we had some other friends come over to go sledding on Friday.
Personal Goals
  • Cut coupons from this week and last- Super excited that I got all my coupons cut from this week and last.
  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday- I didn't make it on Friday because of the snow but I went on Saturday and got them at the library.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I shut off the computer every night and lots of days but it did get lots of work when it was on :)
  • Subbing at preschool 2 days- Worked on Tuesday and Wednesday...I had a job to work on Thursday and Friday but school was cancelled.
  • Finally back to Jazzercise- HAHA!  What was I thinking because it snowed and I didn't make it and even if it didn't snow, I ended up having those two days to work.
  • Finish book from the library from Janet Evanovich 7th- Finished and review posted
  • Start the 8th book in the series- Finished and review posted.  I read another Alexander McCall Smith book and the Giver by Lois Lowry.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I cleaned up most of the week and got it more clean than it is on a normal week even though we were in the house for most of the week. I even got to make blueberry muffins on Thursday and coffee cake on Saturday (and cookies earlier in the week).
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- I got them all cleaned up during the week a few times and did the others in the morning when I didn't.  Having time off with my husband not at work too allowed us to get a lot more done (even if we were making more mess).
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family) - I posted a lot of things this week.
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- Did my reading and review for all of the books that I read this week.
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week- Not the greatest job this week in getting things done because we were spending lots of family time together.  I guess everything comes at a cost :)
  • Post Sunday Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, Kid Wednesday and Thrifty Thursday Tip- I got everything posted but opted for some other posting on Thursday since I didn't have any ideas on what to share from my thrifty idea bank.
This week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family
  • Playdate with friends after school two days (another mom and I are switching days picking the kids up from school so we get one day with no kids for most of the day and then another where the kids entertain each other so it is the best of both worlds)
Personal Goals

  • Get coupons on Friday or Saturday
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy
  • Finally back to Jazzercise
  • Start Wild book (true story which is going to be made into a movie soon)
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family)
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week

    1. I was hoping to get a little more done but there are only so many hours in the day and I need a break by the end :) It got me motivated for all of things to do on my last day of the weekend so I got all the dishes done and the coupons cut today. Here is hoping this is a start to a productive week! Good luck for your week too :)

  2. Nice work! Maybe I should do a weekly list. I make a new list every day!

    1. I used to make a list every day but I often lost it before the end of the day. Having a list online and for the week gives me a little bit of time to finish everything that I have and decide when I am going to do them :)
