Turbo Twenty-Three Book Review

I was ready to read this book from the second that I heard that it was coming out but I was like 500 down on the library reserve list.  I figured that it would be forever before I got the book but although I read many others and moved up on the list, it still felt like a long time.  It quickly went to the top so most other people must have given up and bought it or borrowed from a friend at that point.  Turbo Twenty-Three: A Stephanie Plum Novel by Janet Evanovich showed up on my shelf while I was finishing my last two books so I was excited to get to read the book while on vacation with my family.

Larry Virgil skipped out on his latest court date after he was arrested for hijacking an eighteen-wheeler full of premium bourbon. Fortunately for bounty hunter Stephanie Plum, Larry is just stupid enough to attempt almost the exact same crime again. Only this time he flees the scene, leaving behind a freezer truck loaded with Bogart ice cream and a dead body—frozen solid and covered in chocolate and chopped pecans.

As fate would have it, Stephanie’s mentor and occasional employer, Ranger, needs her to go undercover at the Bogart factory to find out who’s putting their employees on ice and sabotaging the business. It’s going to be hard for Stephanie to keep her hands off all that ice cream, and even harder for her to keep her hands off Ranger. It’s also going to be hard to explain to Trenton’s hottest cop, Joe Morelli, why she is spending late nights with Ranger, late nights with Lula and Randy Briggs—who are naked and afraid—and late nights keeping tabs on Grandma Mazur and her new fella. Stephanie Plum has a lot on her plate, but for a girl who claims to have “virtually no marketable skills,” these are the kinds of sweet assignments she does best.

I hope that you check out this newest book because it is as entertaining as all of the other books in the series.  I might have waited a long time for the book but it was totally worth the wait.  The series follow a predicable pattern with the main thing being that trouble always happens to Stephanie Plum. This book was no different because Stephanie got into a lot of trouble through her work as a bounty hunter and working in the factory to try to find out who was behind the recent murder.  It was amazing to follow this mystery and find the answer to who was behind the trouble for the ice cream factory.  It was a great vacation read and I finished it all before vacation was over!!  It was a great new edition to the series and I can't wait for the next one.  I hope that you enjoy this book as much as I did!!  If you haven't read the books in the series, now is a great time to start.  Hope you enjoy!!
