The Revelation Book Review

The Revelation (Abram's Daughters #5) by Beverly Lewis was the next in my series which I excitedly started as soon as I finished the last book.  I read it within 24 hours because I couldn't put it down.  After reading the four book lead in to find out how everything pulled together and ended was keeping me on the edge of my seat.  I hoped that everything would turn out the way that I wanted but needed to read to find out.

In this book, Jonas comes back to Pennsylvania to win the woman of his dreams back after they have both lived all of their early lives alone.  Jonas moves in with his family while dealing with his father's hatred of the family that he is soon going to marry into.  Jonas has to go through a six month Proving period so the wedding season has past before is a member of the church again and can ask Leah to marry him.  Jonas's brother returns from Ohio to find his love, Lydiann.  There is great drama between the two families and both couples are tested.  At the same time, Hannah is dealing with a crisis of faith and thinking about getting closer to the powwow doctors of Amish past.  Recovering from the past and moving on to the future means that everyone has to resolve their issues which comes at big expense to others.  I hope that you pick up the book and see how this great book series ends.

I enjoy this book especially as the last in the series.  It makes me want series to go on forever when you get to the end but I know that there is a good start and end to most of the stories and this was a great resolution for all of the characters in the books.  I can't wait to start another great series from Beverly Lewis when I finish a few more books on my shelf first (hopefully).  I love her characters and writing because it makes the people feel like lifelong friends.  I hope that you pick up this series or any other series from this great author the next time you are at the library or bookstore.
