Four Friends Book Review

Four Friends by Robyn Carr is independent book that is not part of one of her series.  It was interesting to read a different type of book written by her.  She is a great author and I love her writing style so this book wasn't any different.  The worst part is that I have trouble putting the book down which lead to a few late nights without sleeping.

There are four friends that are the most unlikely pairing based on where they are living.  Gerri, Andy, Sonja and BJ all become friends after seeing each other around the neighborhood and finding lots in common.  Gerri finds out that her husband is the person she thought he was and she is angry. Andy doesn't have a great track record with men and she is in the process of her second divorce. When she finds herself attracted to her down-to-earth contractor—a man without any of the qualities that usually appeal to her—she questions everything she thought she wanted in life. Sonja's lifelong pursuit of balance is shattered when her husband declares he's through with her waterfalls and healthy eating and walks out. Her life falls apart and she ends up not taking care of herself or her house before her friends step in to help.  BJ, the reserved newcomer to Mill Valley, steps into their circle and changes everything. The woman with dark secrets opens up to her neighbors, and together they get each other back on track, stronger as individuals and unfaltering as friends.

I enjoyed the book a lot!  There was laughing and crying while the women went through all of the problems in their lives from ending relationships to starting them and worked through problems.  The book was well written with great characters.  I hope that you enjoy the book and pick it up at the next time you are at the library or bookstore.  It is a great summer read!!!
