The Lost Art of Mixing Book Review

The Lost Art of Mixing by Erica Bauermeister came across my list because I read the first book in the series when I got it as a gift (Thanks Ann!) which I loved and promptly loaned back to my friend who gave it to me.  I loved the first book and I was really eager to read anything else by the author but as the case is with lots of things, I got caught up in other authors and books and forgot.  Then I saw two books by this author and I was really excited.  I put them both on reserve at the library.

In this book, all of the characters have a common connection which is Lillian's restaurant.  There is Al, her accountant and friend who loves her cooking and loves to meet with her because she always brings food and good stories.  Chloe used to bus tables and now is a cook and lives with Isabelle.  Isabelle is an older woman who is having a hard time loosing her memories while Alzheimer's takes them. Finnegan is the quiet dishwasher who stops to live in town because he sees Chloe at the farmer's market and decides that he needs to get to know her.  All of the people in the book create their own family and support each other during their times of need.  Lillian gets a big surprise and everyone is there to support her.

I hope that you pick up this book and see all the twists and turns because they are wonderful and unexpected. Check this out at your local library or bookstore!  I promise that you won't be disappointed with anything by this wonderful author!  Let me know what you think.
