Thrifty Thursday: Trying to get in the Christmas Spirit

I feel like the Grinch this year because I am having trouble getting into the Christmas spirit.  I had most of my shopping done early and did our yearly Black Friday experience.  I got up the tree the day after Thanksgiving which we have never done.  I am super sad we aren't going to have our whole family together but wishing that we were going to have a really quiet time.  Holidays are a conflicting time with a very busy schedule.  The best idea is to make Christmas cookies!!

This is a super frugal way to cheer up your holiday.  I promise that peppermint and almond are the keys to cheering up the holidays.  The sad thing was that we ate through most of the store before the guests came to town.  I think that it means that we need to make more :)

Check out your favorite cookies in the cookbook or check out a few on my site to make a few super cheap treats to get you in the holiday spirit.

The great news is that this is super cheap way to bring the holiday spirit into your house!  I hope that you make some yummy cookies (and send some this way).  I need to start to on my gingerbread or molasses cookies to bring in the scents and the tastes of the holiday into the house!!!   I will be posting the recipe soon if I get to making it :)
