June Budget Review

I thought that I was going to have a really low month with the way that it started.  But then the announcement came out about super doubles!!!! In addition, I got coupons in the mail from Harris Teeter because they said that I haven't been shopping there enough!!!  It was $5 off $25 for four weeks so there was one starting with the first week being super doubles.  I was excited to have a lot of money left in the budget to be able to go crazy and get some of the great deals from Super Doubles.

Check out what I got for the month and how I stayed under budget!

CVS $4.41

Wegman's $8.24

Wegman's $5.17

Giant $12.55

Harris Teeter $3.69

Harris Teeter $5.50

Harris Teeter $5.41

I can't believe all of the stuff that I got at Harris Teeter and added to the stockpile with Gerber food, shelf stable milk for baking, and cranberry juice.  I had lots of trips to the store and stayed well under my $160 per month budget.  There are a few more things that are still on the list for next month like paper towels, mozzarella cheese, and other things that I can't remember but I am sure we will be fine for a long time on the deals that I picked up this month.  This was the first month that I was over $100 in the last four months of spending so I was amazed at how much I got and now I am going to stock the shelves and enjoy my last day of Super Doubles shopping in the new month!!!

Total Retail $664.65
Total Savings $555.66
Total OOP $108.99

    1. I am pretty excited because I have had a good year on grocery spending since I am under $550 for the year which usually means that I have to save at least $500 a month to get everything we need. It is a great half way point for the year and hope that the rest of the year stays on track!!
