Secrets of a Happy Family Book Review

The Secrets of Happy Families: Improve Your Mornings, Tell Your Family History, Fight Smarter, Go Out and Play... by Bruce Feiler was in my pile of books to read and I was waiting to get the email from the publishing company but it must have gotten filtered into spam because I never got it.  Therefore, the book when to the bottom of the pile and I didn't get a chance to read it.  I moved it to the top finally and I was really glad that I did.  It was amazing!!!!

In the book, there are lots of ideas on what to do to keep your family happy.  The Table of Contents are the below:

-Introduction: Why We Need New Thinking for Families
- Part One: Adapt All The Time
-Part Two: Talk A Lot
- Part Three: Go Out and Play

The author used lots of research to find the smartest solutions to have a happy family.  He used team building exercises and problem solving from the experts in all of the fields.  Using the common sense that businesses have used like mission statements and tested them out with his family.  It was fun to read about the things that worked and the things that didn't work with his family and how to use them to make your family happier.  Some of the information is common sense but if it was that common, then we would all have happy families so it is great to learn and see if there is anything that might work for you.

I can't wait to read this book again and make sure that I am actually following a lot of the advice that is given.  There are so many things to do that you want to pick up the book and read a little bit so that you can do what they suggested in the section.  When I read it the first time through, I didn't want to stop and work on the advice because I really wanted to see what came next.  I hope that you pick up this book at your local library or bookstore so that you can find out all of the great advice to have a happy family.
