Third Trip to Harris Teeter Super Doubles!!

I didn't know exactly what I was going for but I was prepared.  I filled more printed coupons and had lots of lists and I was ready to go but lots of things were empty the other day so I wasn't sure what to be ready with.  I went in and the store had stock of things!!!

First stop was the deli meat area to see if they still had a few of the clearance Oscar Mayer protein packs and they had two with a $1 sticker.  With the store meat coupon and the manufacturer coupon, those were a money maker.  I grabbed the free noodles and the free Healthy Request Campbell's soup first.

I went to get the Quaker instant oatmeal for my son which I got on my Friday evic special for $1.87 limit 2.  I had a $0.75/2 coupon to use and then I saw an end display with peelies for $1/2 and I used that and it doubled!!!  Super bonus because that means that I got them for $0.87 each!!!!!

Then found lots of things missing from the shelves that I wanted to get.  I rushed to get the toilet paper which after coupon and sale was $0.99 or $0.25 per roll and I didn't want to miss it.  I am super excited to stock up on toilet paper because we are running super low and that is another thing that I hate to pay high prices.  Then I found Jen who I was supposed to be meeting at the store this morning with her cart already full.  We went a little through the store.

Jen and I went back to the deli meat so that I could show her the Oscar Mayer Protein packs with the meat stickers.  I also showed her my rain check for Davidson Eggs and my coupons so that they would be $1 each to prove that getting rain checks was a good thing because the coupons and super doubles always come around again so best be prepared.  We were down to one egg at home so I was excited to get that.  Then, I showed her the pork coupon that I just printed and there was a 2 lb pork roast on sale clearance for $3.00 per pound and after coupon, I got it for $3.94.  I put it straight into the freezer when I got home so that I could make it when my parents came to visit.

We remembered that we needed to get the Jiffy corn mix which was a freebie after the money back to saving star.  Then we were off to get the milk on special for $2.87 Saturday only.  I grabbed my four Liberte yogurts that were on my Friday evic special for $0.77 each which was free after the coupon doubled.  Jen had the Quaker Crunchy Oats in her cart but then got a deal for fruit when she bought fig newtons so she had too many coupons so she shared the last box left in the whole store with me (free after facebook coupon)!!  Wasn't that nice?

Total Retail $72.22
Total Savings $58.10
Total OOP $14.12

I forgot to get my rain checks at the end because of all of the excitement shopping with a friend but I am sure that they will have more things in tomorrow and I will try to remember my rain checks tomorrow.
