Light on Snow Book Review

Light on Snow by Anita Shreve was sitting on my shelf all year without being read.  I don't know what I was putting it off for!  Glad that I finally moved it to the top of the stack.  I hope that you do to!

In this book, Nicky Dillon, twelve year old girl, is living with her widowed father far out in the country in their New Hampshire farm house after moving shortly after loosing her mother and sister in an accident.  During the snowy winter, they take a walk and find an abandoned baby which they save and take to the hospital.  This simple walk turns their life upside down when they saved the life of the newborn but helped them heal and rebuild their relationship.  If you want to find out how, make sure you pick this up and read!

I thought the story was amazing.  I really liked the last book that I read by Anita Shreve and this was no different.  I really need to get back to reading a few more of her books in the new year.  I wrote a list in my notebook so let's hope that they make my library list and I picked up on at the library book sale for $0.25 so there will be at least one on the horizon soon. I hope that you read this book because it is a great story and great characters that you will really enjoy.  Pick it up at your local library or bookstore.

Have you read anything by Anita Shreve?  Are you a big fan?  Which one should I go for next?
