School Days Book Review

School Days (Spenser) by Robert B. Parker was the next in the series of Spenser books that I was reading.  I can't believe that I am already on number 33 and only have a few more left in the series!!  I did see that someone else was writing some books in the Robert Parker series after his passing so I will have to check them out and see if the characters are just as good as they were when Robert Parker wrote them!!

In this book, Spenser is hired by Lily Ellsworth, grandmother of Jared Clark, alleged school shooter, to clear her grandson's name and get him out of jail.  Everyone else wants to bury the charges and let Jared and other gunman who was caught red-handed stay in jail.  Spenser gets no help from the school because they want the talk to stop so that they can move on an become a private junior college.  The school psychologist description of Jared is nothing like everyone else's in the school so Spenser decides that he should spend more time investigating.  He is eventually asked to stop investigating but continues because he wants to find the truth.  He hires his one psychologist and lawyer to help the boy beat the charges.  There are many surprises and twists so you really need to pick up the book and find out the ending!!

I hope that you check out this book and many others by Robert Parker.  The Spenser series is a great one to start because there are many books written but sadly I only a few left.  I hope that you check it out if you haven't tried a Robert Parker book before because they are fast reads with funny characters.  I hope that you enjoy them as much as I have!!!
