Last Week:
Family Goals
Spend time with family (including having Grandma and Grandpa visiting)- This week was mostly just little man and Mommy with Daddy working late to try to get caught up on work but we had a quick visit with Daddy when we went to go buy our microwave which was a nice treat. We finished dinner early a few days so Daddy and little man got to work on letters and other activities at the table while Mommy got a break :) Having Grandma and Grandpa here made the little man really happy, especially since they came bearing birthday gifts.Get to preschool on time- We have had a great week of getting to school on time and remembering our school bag, which seems to be a problem for Mommy this year (soon it should be his responsibility to remember right?)On the Go Storytime- We got to hear about buses, trucks, trains and more at storytime today. It was super fun for the kids and very low attendance so they got to do a lot just a lot for each kid like putting the different vehicles on the board and driving the firetrucks around on the carpet. We also got to bring two on the go books home with us.Storytime at the Library- We went to a storytime which was some entertainment about snowy days even though it was stories that we have already heard this winter (I guess that they are the popular ones). I was trying to entertain my little guy since he didn't understand why it was taking Grandma and Grandpa so long to get into town. Sadly, he didn't want to stay. He picked out one book and then was ready to leave.- Playdate with friends at their house- Our friend got super sick (Hope you feel better soon Ryan) so we didn't get to play but we went to the library instead of staying around the house.
Cut coupons- Super excited to get everything cleaned up and in my coupon basket on Sunday but I didn't cut the new coupons until Wednesday night when I got ready to have company. It actually didn't take too long.Get coupons at library on Friday- I got the papers on my first trip to the library so I was super excited that worked well and we got everything I needed. My little guy said he wanted to pick out a book so I grabbed Chicka Chicka 123 and read it on the way to the computer to check it out and then on the way out the door. One of the librarians that we know was laugh (quietly) when I looked up and she said anything to get them moving :) YUP! We were trying to get home before lunch.Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- Having company has really changed my schedule so I forgot to shut the computer for a night but I am going to make it up it by having it off lots for the rest of the week :) I hope to be better for the rest of the visit.Finish reading Family Honor (Sunny Randall)Start new book The Shop on Blossom Street
Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I started the week off right with a mostly clean kitchen but I really needed to scrub the floor which I didn't get to do over the weekend but got the rest of the kitchen clean and ready for company.Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- After an tiring weekend, my husband opted to go to bed early on Monday so I decided to stand in the kitchen and watch one of my programs while doing the dishes. It is nice because I wanted to watch the show and I woke up to a clean kitchen but I much prefer if they were done magically :) I made a mess in the morning when I decided that I really still wanted scones for breakfast so I made them. What a Monday treat even though it was a little more than I had time for :) Then, I even cleaned the dishes mid-day before the dinner dishes mess would be made which lead to an easy clean up for dinner and all the dishes done on Tuesday night!! If I could only continue that process :)
