September Cooking Goals Updated

I took my goals very seriously and started trying recipes immediately.  I tried to make as many on the list as I could as the ingredients were available on sale.  I  started keeping an eye out for the things that I needed in order to get to try the next recipe and it was a super fun challenge.  I ate my way through the whole goal :)  I also threw a few others in that I tried during September along the way.  I had so many recipes that I stretched some of them to publish in October but I was pretty happy with all that I got done!

If you click on the link below, it will link you to my post about what I thought about the recipe as well as all the wonderful pictures.

Peanut Butter Baked Oatmeal- I really enjoyed crispy out of the toaster oven in the morning which I did even straight from the freezer.

Biscuit Mix (like Bisquick)- This mix was easy to mix and use.

Biscuits from the Mix- Light and fluffy biscuits.

Flourless Chocolate Cookies- The cookies had a strong chocolate flavor but they were too cripsy and not what I was looking for but still tasty.  My mom LOVED them and didn't want to share!

Homemade Baked Granola- The yummiest treat for morning, noon and night.

Amish Friendship Bread Starter- Started and almost to the bread making stage.

Salsa Sloppy Joes- Really flavorful and easy to make.  Make a lot and freeze the leftovers to have for a super easy second meal (if you can stay out of it which we couldn't)!!

Lemon Zest Muffins (from Amish starter) super flavorful but I think that the extract that I used was a little too strong.

Snickerdoodle Cookies (from Amish starter) not your typical Snickerdoodle because it was softer but it was super good and flavorful.

Cinnamon Bread (from Amish starter)-  a fall favorite and I think that I will make this one more often because we love bread and love cinnamon so I might have to make this when the starter comes up again in a few more days.

7UP Biscuits-  They were super light and fluffy but we had a few bumps along the way, check out the original post to get more details!

Happy Baking to all of you and I hope that you try a few recipes and let me know what you think of them!!
