Harris Teeter Shopping Trip #2

A bitter sweet second trip to Harris Teeter which my mom (a non-couponer) came with me.  I finally made it to the frozen food section to get the Eggo waffles but I didn't make it home with my ipad.  It seems that it was lost/stolen between the frozen food and us getting into the car.  We didn't realize until we got home and my husband went back with me.  He searched all of the shopping carts inside and outside while I went into the security room and watched footage with the wonderful lady in the security office who stayed long after her shift to help us.  I love Harris Teeter staff because they are so caring and we all very helpful.  Sadly, nothing recovered and no helpful information on the ipad.

Anyway, back to the happy part of the trip- the actual savings.  I got 6 boxes of Eggos, 2 Ritz Crackerfuls, Hefty bags, Always pads, Bisquick, 2 Damp Rids, 2 Cover Girl Powder Puffs, 3 Frosted Flakes cereal, 3 Krave cereal, and 6 bags of Doritos.  The Always pads, Damp Rid and Cover Girl powder puffs were all free and a little bit of money makers to pay for the other items.

After looking at this picture, I realize that this is the processed food that people feel couponers are getting when we shop.  I certainly did not intend on getting an entire cart load of chips and waffles but that is what was in stock and was at $1 per and the limit of my 20 coupons.  These are some treats that my family often doesn't get so after having quiet a few lean months eating out of the pantry, we are going to enjoy a few months of special treats.  We actually haven't even opened the chips yet which might be a record in our house!!  Although after getting no sleep last night with the ipad situation, we all had frozen waffles this morning and they were super yummy treats.

Total OOP $18.62
Total Savings $84.26
