Quick trip to Wal Mart

I know that is an oximoron but we were headed in to get a few things before heading to a playdate in the area.  My husband told me that we were overdue for a furnance filter and they seem to have a good selection and the best price that I have found on the Filtrete filters which is what we use.  I figured that I would use the overage from a few coupons to buy some oatmeal that they say is only carried at Wal Mart but I was then on a different mission.  I grabbed 6 things of dental floss and searched the aisles for the Vasoline lotion that was suposed to be free with a coupon but I couldn't find it.  I didn't find the Breathe Right strips in the smaller package either.  The shavers that were suposed to be free were also out.  I think that they have decided not to refill them because they are always empty!  Anyway, it was turning out to be a bust but my son told me he wanted to look at the Angry Bird bandaids which we drove in circles three times to see and then he said that it was time to get groceries so we drove through those aisles.  I found the oatmeal which was actually quick oats in the big container instead of a small box of instant oatmeal like I was expecting.  Then I for the Maseca corn flour that I have been search for for $2.88 (it was $3.79 at Harris Teeter and $2.99 at Giant so I have been looking around to see where the best price is...  I forgot to check Safeway when I was there...opps). I also found that Windex with vinegar was $2.87 ($3.09 at Target, $3.49 at Giant, and $3.59 at Harris Teeter).  I got away with only $18.63 OOP but I really didn't feel like I got much of anything.  I guess that is what you get when you go to Wal Mart :)  Current monthly total is $71.52 so I am still on track so I hope that I can hold true to that in another week!!
