Christmas at White Pines Book Review

 I was excited to get to the beginning of this series with Christmas at White Pines (Adams Dynasty) by Sherryl Woods. This is the first book in the series and I was excited to get back to the beginning after finding the other book in the series that I got to read. It was two books in one so I was glad to start these great stories.

Unfortunately, the closest ranch in her small Texas town belonged to her late husband’s brother, Luke, who didn’t know a thing about delivering babies. And though this charismatic rancher was her only hope, he was the last person Jessie wanted to be stranded with in her time of need.

Natural Born Daddy

Jordan Adams proposed a marriage of convenience to single mom Kelly Flint because he thought it was time they each settled down with a perfectly compatible, always dependable partner. After all, they’d both learned the hard way that love only leads to heartache. But to his surprise, Kelly made it clear marriage would be anything but platonic, and her young daughter kindled fond feelings of fatherhood in his heart. Now he had to convince Kelly that he was not only a natural born daddy…but also the perfect husband she’d been waiting for all her life.

The first story was about Jessie Adams who was pregnant with her dead husband's baby and looking to start her life over on her own. She decided to go back to visit her husband's family for the holiday because she was invited and she had no other family to spend the holiday with.  She was driving there and felt strong pains and her water broke.  She was in the middle of a winter storm and far away from where she was going towards and had no choice but to go to her brother in law, Luke's ranch. Luke blamed himself for his brother's death and hadn't spoken to Jessie since his accident. Now Luke doesn't have a choice when Jessie shows up on his front porch and ready to deliver her baby. You have to pick up the book to find out what happens but I promise it is a great story!

The next story is about Jordan Adams who has been through many failed relationships and has decided that he wants to get married. After his last relationship ends, he decides to go home and propose to his best friend, Kelly. He proposes to her after arriving there and Kelly tells him that he is crazy.  Kelly has a hard time not agreeing because she has been in love with Jordan her whole life but she knows that it will be hard to be married to someone that isn't in love with her. She decides that she needs to make Jordan work for it and in the process realize that he wants more in the relationship then he is acknowledging. It is a funny story where Jordan doesn't know what to do when he is normally in control of everything that he does in business.  I know that you will enjoy this story if you pick it up and see where it is going to go. I hope that you check out this book and the rest of the series for the super great characters and great small town.
