Come Home to Me Book Review

I have enjoyed reading the Whiskey Creek series which started with one book that I got off the free shelf at the libraries and has turned into enjoying the whole series.  The bad part came when I thought I had the whole series on the shelf but it turns out I was missing the 6th book!!  I actually went on and read the 7th because I was tired of waiting for the book from the library but I quickly finished that and came back to this one. Come Home to Me (Whiskey Creek) by Brenda Novak was the sixth book in the great series which I just read a little out of order.  It is a perfect fast summer read that keeps you super interested in what is happening so that it is hard to put down.

Home is where her heart is...When Presley Christensen returns to Whiskey Creek with her little boy after two years away, she has completely changed her life. She's made peace with her past and overcome the negative behavior that resulted from her difficult childhood. Now she's back in the small town that was the closest thing to "home" she ever knew—the town where she can be with the sister who's her only family.

There's just one catch. Aaron Amos still lives in Whiskey Creek, at least until he moves to Reno to open a branch of the Amos brothers' auto body shop. And no matter how hard she's tried, Presley hasn't been able to get over him. Seeing him again makes the longing so much worse. But she hopes she can get through the next few months, because she can't fall back into his arms…or his bed. She's come too far to backslide now. And there's a secret she's been guarding—a secret she'll do anything to protect.

Presley went through so much in the previous books that I know that I was pulling for her to come out ahead and this is finally her book where she has her life together.  She moved back to the small town of Whiskey Creek when she finds that her child care isn't as reliable as she thought because there were bruises on her son.  She knows that she will be in for trouble but she decides to overcome her past and start a yoga and massage studio so that she can do two things that she has been trained to do in her home town.  She has the support of her sister, Cheyenne, and her husband, Dylan.  The bad part is her ex still lives in town and she is afraid that seeing him will bring up bad times and good times from the past.  She doesn't want to have anything happen to her future and supporting her son by getting involved in the past.  You have to pick up the book to find out what secret she is hiding and if she manages to keep it hidden.  You will also have to find out what happens and if she turns her business and life into a success after moving home.  I hope that you check out this book and all the others in the wonderful series.  The characters and the writing are so good that you feel like you are member of this small town.  I hope that you enjoy them as much as I have!
