I have been reading though the whole series of Whiskey Creek books and this was the last one in my pile. A Winter Wedding (Whiskey Creek) by Brenda Novak was the last book that I had gotten out of the library and I was finally finishing it. Super glad that after I finished it, I found out there was one newer book in the series.
One night can change your life…
Kyle Houseman
believes he'll never find anyone he could love as much as Olivia Arnold,
who's now married to his stepbrother. Not only did he lose her, he's
been through one divorce and has no desire to go through another. He's
determined to be extra careful about the next woman he gets involved
with—which is why he fights his attraction to the beautiful stranger who
rents his farmhouse for the Christmas holiday.
Lourdes Bennett
is a country music artist. She's only planning to stay in Whiskey Creek
long enough to write the songs for her next album—the album that's
going to put her back on top. Her dreams don't include settling in a
town even smaller than the one she escaped. But as she comes to know
Kyle, she begins to wonder if she'd be making a terrible mistake to
leave him behind…
This book was super good because we finally got to know Kyle more after his horrible divorce and being supportive of all his friends in the other books. It was great to see Lourdes come into town and finally find someone who Kyle could relate to and help. Lourdes was a famous country music artist who was planning on staying at Kyle's rental property while she recovered from her failing career by writing her next great album. She ends up moving into Kyle's house with him when the heat doesn't work at the rental and she stays there through her stay. Kyle is going through a lot of things at the time and she is supportive of him while he supports her and helps her to write some music. They have an unlikely friendship that turns into even more. You have to pick up the book to find out how his ex-wife tries to destroy that by getting back together with Kyle because she is jealous. I hope that you check out this book and all of the others in the Whiskey Creek series. I have really enjoyed reading it. I thought I was at the end with this book but looked it up and found one more which I reserved at the library so stay tuned for the review of the next book too and look for all the others in the series too.
