I couldn't believe how quickly this book series moved. I was already on the last book in the series. Blessings: (Sommerfeld Trilogy) by Kim Vogel Sawyer was the third and final book to read.
Trina Muller has always had a passion for healing animals. But when she
reveals her dream of going to veterinary college, both parents and beau
object. Why can’t she accept that God’s will is for her to be a wife and
mother? Graham Ortmann loves Trina, but how can he possibly marry
someone who is determined to go against the dictates of the Old Order
Mennonite fellowship? Which life will Trina ultimately choose—one with
love or one in pursuit of her dream?
I enjoyed this book because it was different from the first two. It showed how the Mennonite people could live within their faith and still try to pursue their dreams. There are very strict rules in this faith that cause limitations from the modern world which are supposed to showcase their beliefs. There were a lot of interesting things that happened through the book with Trina and how she is working to pursue her dreams. Without the support of family and friends, it is hard for her to dream that she will be able to pursue her future as she feels God is calling her to do. With some help from outside sources, she decides to pursue those dreams but everything quickly blows up in her face. I know that you will want to pick up the book to find out the ups and downs that happen because they are very unexpected. Life changes and Trina changes with it. I hope that you check out this book and all the others in the Sommerfield Triology.I know that I did even though I read them way too fast again!! I hope to read some other great series in the coming months and a triology was the best way to end the summer so that I didn't get pulled into another long series. I guess we will see what reading the fall months bring!!
