Books I Read in 2013

I am super excited to say that I read a bunch more books this year then last year.  I didn't know if last year was just a fluke but here are all of the books that I read in 2012 in case you want to see that list too.  My cousin told me that I needed to stop reading only educational books and try to read lots more fun books so I picked up a bunch of new series and authors that I hadn't read before and I am happy that I did because it was a very entertaining outlet to loose myself in books again.

Total Books Read in 2013    139

Can you believe that I read 61 more books this year!!!

Here is the list of all of the books that I read this year with the books crossed off that I read.  Sadly, there are still some books on the list that I haven't read this year but I put on my list because they are still sitting on my shelf in my bedroom staring at me.  I need to do better next year about reading the books that I have already at home so consider that one of my goals for 2014.

I have gotten most of my books in the last few years through the library reserve program to read exactly what I want when I want to read it.  I highly recommend the best frugal reading tip!! It helps me to not pile my house with more books because I have a horrible problem getting rid of books that I have read even if I don't think that I will read them again so it fights against my hording tendencies.  It is also super green to share (or reuse) books that lots of people will use.  So no matter the reason, it should fit all New Year's Resolutions to start reading books from the library.  Some of my books do come free through book reading programs, the give away shelf at the library and my parents who pass on some that they think that I will like but most are straight from the library and I hope that you will join me in reading lots in 2014!

Stay tuned for the list of the books that I am going to try to read in 2014 soon!

  1. You do read a lot of books! Not sure how many I read a year-it helps to pass the winter. I need to start reserving again at the library, thanks for the reminder! I get some books at garage sales in the spring and summer also that helps. Have a great day and thanks again for the reminder!

    1. Our library has a book sale and I hold myself back and don't go until the last day which is half off day because I know that I will always find more then I can keep up with but I am trying to do most of them out of the library now because I have a problem where I can't get rid of the books when I am done so I am running out of room. I didn't know how many I was doing so I thought that it would be good to track them. I am amazed at how many I got read last year!! I hope you get some great reads this spring and summer to make it through the cold winter :)
