Weekly Goals 10/20

Exhausted after another long week.  I think that I am getting more and more scatter brained and I need to figure out something to get my act together... more hours in the day still haven't appeared so there has to be another way.  I am going to try to figure out a way through my to do list and see what I can get done this weekend to get me ahead for the week but I don't know if I have put too much on my list again!!  Oh well, on to the next week and the next to do list :)  Hope you have a good week planned!


Last week

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family (and enjoy the three day weekend)- We had a great three day weekend together and my son enjoyed having Daddy around a whole extra day.
  • Swimming Lessons- Daddy took little man in the water and got to enjoy the fun of swimming lessons while I sat on the side and talked to the other mom who's husband was also in the water.
  • Get to preschool on time everyday- We got there everyday on time and with everything that we needed.
  • Go to son's friend's birthday party at Hidden Oaks- We went to our friends birthday party at Hidden Oaks and they got to see live animals (while mommy waited in the other room) and then they did a craft and had muffins and doughnut holes.  My guy had a blast but it is a bummer that it was raining so they didn't go outside.
  • Go to son's friend's birthday party at his house- My son had a blast and didn't want to leave.  He was climbing ropes and trees outside when we finally got him to the car but he was so tired and cranky because it was later in the afternoon.
Personal Goals
  • Cut coupons- I got all my coupons cut on Wednesday because I made myself an agreement about skipping Jazzercise and getting things done.
  • Get coupons on Friday - I went to CVS twice, the library, and Giant and they didn't have the papers by the late afternoon.  My husband stopped on his way home and there wasn't anything there yet either.  I went to the library in the morning and there still wasn't anything.  I went to Giant and they were already picked over.  I drove to another library on the way to another activity that my son and I were doing and I finally got my papers.  It seems to be harder and harder to find them and I am not sure why.
  • Go to Jazzercise- I went on Thursday but didn't make it the rest of the week.  I went three times a week the first two weeks and now I can barely make one.  I need to get my act together and figure out a better schedule.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I shut off the computer every night and most of the days that I wasn't at the house so it seemed to be behaving well this week.
  • Finish reading Christmas in Apple Ridge book for Blogging for Books (It is three books in one so I have my work cut out for me but it is supposed to be really rainy so I might just get it done)- Done and reviews posted.
  • Read next book by Cindy Woodsmall and Eleanor and Park which came off reserve at the library at the same time- Read both and started my book club book which I have to finish in less than a week.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- The dreaded clean kitchen was another fight this week that I didn't have the energy to battle but I kept it mostly clean but one day I had to clean the counters three or four times to keep them clean because there was so much going on in the kitchen.
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- My husband and I did the dishes together one or two nights and got them all cleaned, dried and put away but I really can't remember which night of the week it was...one night Bones was on because I was drying and watching while he was trying to talk to me :)
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family)- I got the posts up every day but not exactly as planned.
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- I did all of the reviews and posted them.
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week- I didn't do the best job at getting things up for next week so I have a lot of work to do but I made a bunch of drafts to work on so lets hope that I make a lot of progress on Sunday so that it is an easy week.
  • Post Sunday Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, Kid Wednesday and Thrifty Thursday Tip- Okay, I had the Thrifty Thursday post in drafts and I just needed to add a few things which slipped my mind so I didn't get it up...I was trying to decide whether I should post on Friday or wait until next week but I didn't get it done on Friday so I guess that answered the question quickly.  I got a post up every day but I didn't post my Thrifty Thursday so it will be up next week.

  • Make Ghost and/or Bat Halloween crafts
