311 Pelican Court Book Review

311 Pelican Court (Cedar Cove) by Debbie Macomber was the next book in the Cedar Cove series.  I was excited to find it on the shelf when I went to pick up a book that came in for my son.  I grabbed it and checked out the books quickly so that I could get back to my errands.  I picked it up as soon as I finished the previous book and the story just continued to unfold.

At 311 Pelican Court, Rosie and Zach Cox lived with there two children.  They are going through a divorce and the judge makes a very strange ruling on how they are going to divide the property including the house.  It becomes interesting to see the family try to continue with their lives and all the challenges that they encounter.  Allison and Eddie are having a hard time dealing with the divorce and acting out to both parents.  Their family is crumbling and so are their lives individually.

There are so many other characters that are going through changes including the judge Olivia Lockhardt and her ex-husband, Stan and her current boyfriend, Jack.  They are going through issues because Stan is getting divorced and decided that he wants Olivia back while Olivia wants Jack to fight for her.  The town is also still trying to solve the mystery of the man who died at Bob and Peggy's bed and breakfast which will bring them together with their new friends Roy and Corrie McAfee, the private detective helping solve the mystery.  Maryellen and Jon are dealing with being new parents and making a relationship with each other stay strictly professional when they are both in love with each other. So many other things going on in the book and you should pick it up to find out all of it!!

This is another great book that I couldn't put down.  I read it in a really short amount of time and didn't think that I would finish it before the end of the month but I did!  I was quick to reserve the next two in the series so that I could get them soon.  The next one is on the way and the one after just came in.  I am going to keep my eyes peeled and check the library system later in the day because they are going to be closed for two whole days.  My life goes all out of whack when the library closes for a holiday.  The great news is that I should have lots of books waiting for me when they open again.  Here is hoping that I read all the books that I have currently before they come in because I am known for jumping to other books.

I promise that you will like the Cedar Cove books and all of the Debbie Macomber books.  Hope you pick them up at your local library or bookstore soon (if you haven't already).

Have you seen the Hallmark series show?  I am totally interested to know how they are so let me know if you have!!
