204 Rosewood Lane Book Review

204 Rosewood Lane (Cedar Cove) by Debbie Macomber was the next in the Cedar Cove series that I was starting.  I was excited to get it and actually stopped at the library to get it.  It wasn't in the area that the other books were so I went on a search.  I found it in with the regular fiction books.  It was also an almost brand new book because they just put new covers on the books because it says that there is a new Hallmark Channel series based on this series.  I wish that we had cable so that I could see that one but I am sure that we will be able to see it eventually when it goes on DVD.  Crossing my fingers that the library gets them!!

In this book, Grace Sherman who lives at 204 Rosewood Lane is dealing with divorcing her husband who disappeared in the last book.  She is trying to bury herself in work and other things in order to avoid the pain.  She meets a new friend, Cliff, who is interested in more than friendship but not ready for a relationship.  Her daughter, Kelly, is not happy about her mother being in a relationship with anyone that isn't her father.  Maryellen is supportive and wants her mother to get on with her life... at the same time, she is going through a tough time after her divorce 15 years earlier.

There are so many other characters that were introduced in the first book.  Olivia, a divorced family court judge, is dealing with her relationship with Jack, newspaper reporter and her daughter, Justine, fast marriage to Seth, a fisherman away 6 months of the year in Alaska.  Jack is dealing with his son, Eric, moving into his house after a fight with his girlfriend, Shelly.  Shelly is pregnant but the doctors told Eric that he would never have kids after having cancer as a child.  There are plenty more characters and plenty more adventures!

I hope that you check out this book and all the others in the Cedar Cove series.  Check it out at your local library or bookstore.  Let me know what you think of this series (and any other by Debbie Macomber so that I know which one to check out next).  I am sure that you will like this page turner!!
