Then I decided to throw a small BBQ which has turned into about 16 people! I was totally freaking out and not prepared. We had good weather to hang outside but it got hot and most people migrated into the house to enjoy the new air conditioner (okay, they didn't know it was new...but it is). I am going to have a lot of picking up to do but it was worth it to see a bunch of friends that we don't see very often. In addition, it is a Saturday and we aren't leaving the house but my son is going to have lots of people to play with... do you think that he is going to be disappointed??
Hope that you had a great week and got to end it on a little calmer note :)
Last week:
Family Goals
Spend time with family- Lots of quality time this week with my son trying to fight off a little something with a fever and some more fun!! We are feeling mostly better and crossing our fingers for next week to be back to 100%.See the Beauty of Indian Dance- This was worth going to but not really entertaining for the little kids. It was much more educational and interesting for me then it was for him but the lady that was dancing worked up a sweat showing us all of the moves and even had the kids and parents go up and trying it out.Go to Storytime- My little guy said that he didn't want to go and then had a blast. There were some great beach books and then they got to play with the felt board for the hermit crab.Playdate with a friend- We had a friend over at the house and they had a great time playing. My Gym Camp- He started to worry this morning because he thought that camp was cancelled this week because it was last week but he had a blast once he got there. He didn't want to leave after it was over.- Show at Mason District park (if it is not too hot)- Too hot and too much to do to get ready for the BBQ so we passed on the morning performance.
- Cut coupon- I got last weeks coupons cut up and let this weeks coupons sit there and not get cut up for most of the week. Then I ran out of town
Get coupons on Friday- Continuing in the tradition, I had too much stuff to do on Friday so I was trying to remind myself that it was Friday. Then I forgot but my wonderful husband texted (the spell check says that it isn't a word but I think that it is) me and asked if he should get the papers for me! Yeah! At least someone knew what day it was :) Mission accomplished.Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I did great keeping the computer off and shutting it off every night. My computer is running much better now that my husband cleaned out the fan so I hardly hear it now that it doesn't sound like the fan is going to take off but I have remembered every night.Finish reading current book 52 Loaves- I finished the book and wrote the review which is scheduled to go up soon.Start reading Inferno by Dan Brown- I started the book but it is huge so it is going to be hard to read because I have to try to hold it up while laying down and I might actually build up muscles carrying it around to read it during breaks in the action at the park or other places or I might have to leave it home :( Lets hope that I finish it before it is due back to the library because there are over 1000 holds now so I won't be able to renew!
Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I have been cleaning up the kitchen every day and trying to keep it clean during the day so that it doesn't get too bad but it always seems to back up when the dishwasher needs to be run. I can't balance the running the dishwasher half empty and standing rearranging the dishwasher twelve times so that I can fit everything before running it. Of course, super messy with the BBQ and lots of loads in the dishwasher to get everything cleaned up.Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- Umm, I am not sure how this went this week but I think that we might have done them once before going to bed but I don't remember what night... maybe Monday. I got almost all of them done on Saturday night start the week off right. That took a lot of work but the kitchen transformed with a little bit of luck and a little bit of uninterrupted time.
Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family)- DoneReview book reviews completed during the week (if done)- DoneWork on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week- I worked on some other posts and I have a few planned for the upcoming week and a few others posted. I am getting close to the 900 post mark. I can't believe it. I guess that 1,000 is the big number but I feel like 900 is going to be an interesting number for me to know that we are almost at the big 4 digit number.Post Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, Kid Wednesday and Thrifty Thursday Tip- Done
