Weekly Goals 5/5

I am exhausted after a long week.  I know that I had a lot on the books but by Friday night, I was physically and mental spent!  Luckily, I woke up with a little more energy with lots of things to do so I tried to do my best on Saturday getting things done (although my main goal was to get them done so I could have a nap).  We had a productive week and look forward to a busy week next week!!   I hope that you had a great week too :)

Last Week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family including the last few days with the extended family- Talk about lots of company!  We had my dad at the beginning of the week and my husband's mom, sister, and friends at the end of the week.  I am wiped out and I could sleep for days!!  The visits are great but so much work when I have to throw together a dinner for 7 out of what we have in the house :)
  • Birthday party for a school friend- My little man dressed as a pirate for the pirate and princess themed party and he had a blast.
  • Playdate with friends- We had a great time playing with friends after playing for an hour at My Gym.
  • Class at My Gym and go to at least two open playtimes- We had a great time this week and got to do three open play times plus class.  Last week is our last week and I know that my little man is going to be sad but he is going to do one day of summer camp there.  We might do another session soon!!
Personal Goals
  • Cut coupons- Ha Ha!!! I can't seem to get that to the top of the list of things to do.
  • Get coupons on Friday- Ugh!  It was Friday and I totally missed it.  I had family coming into town and a really messy house so I wasn't even thinking about the papers even though I really need them.  I had to remind myself to make it to the library on Saturday when they opened and then I forgot.  I sat down to do some work on the computer and realized that I forgot and shot out of the house like a bullet.  Luckily, I got some papers!!
  • Go to PT for TMJ- I had two appointments this week and I think that it is really starting to help.  I am off the advil and not waking up with shooting pain.  There is still pain but at least I don't have to pop advil every 4 hours :)
  • Go to Doctor's visit- Done and now I am on Vit D and a nose spray.  I am supposed to get lots of energy but I am not holding my breath because I actually had to go to bed early the night of :)
  • Sub at preschool- Exhausting!  I am not sure how these teachers do it everyday.  I am exhausted after working from 9 am to 1 pm.  It is going to take me days to recover.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I shut it off every night and a few days to give it a rest.  Other than a few problems, I think that my computer appreciated that :)
  • Finish reading Gone South and Ready to Learn- I finished Gone South early in the week but the Ready to Learn book is super boring so I can only read a few pages at a time before I loose interest and can't figure out what they are talking about.  I started on Cold Service next and then Susannah's Garden.  I am still plugging away at the book but it is really boring like reading a college thesis.  I am hoping that it gets more interesting or else I might have to do the unthinkable and return it half read (okay partially)!!
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I tried my best to get everything cleaned up in the kitchen but it was tough to keep up.  I got it cleaned at least 5 days this week easily.  I think that I missed the floor two days but did the counters at least 12 times!!
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- It was really early in the week and I can hardly remember what I did yesterday but we got all the dishes done the night before and everything was put away.
Blog Goals

  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family)- I had a lot of posts up last week and I had tons more than 7 scheduled so that there wasn't a lot more to do!!
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- Done and posted
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week- I have to put in a lot of work on this because I have nothing scheduled as of Saturday morning.  I have a few recipes and other items to post but not a ton of ideas on other posts right now.  I am going to add another subject with the Kid posts which I decided to add because I am trying to prep some things for the summer that we can do.  Crossing my fingers that it will be really entertaining for the little man and I will share with you along the way :)
  • Post Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, and Thrifty Thursday Tip- Another week with a little bit of a delay on doing the Thrifty Thursday tip but I got it up and everything else was without any issues.
This Week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family
  • Preschool storytime
  • Duplo playtime at the library
  • Play at the playground with friends
  • Playdate with friends from My Gym
  • Class at My Gym and go to at least two open playtimes
Personal Goals
  • Cut coupons
  • Get coupons on Friday
  • Go to PT for TMJ twice
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy
  • Finish reading Ready to Learn
  • Read some books about science and math to figure out some summer plans
