Wild Man Creek Book Review

Wild Man Creek (Virgin River, Book 12) by Robyn Carr was next in the series which I set to reading very quickly.  Another hard to put down book had me up really late and turning pages as quickly as possible, saying that I would put it down after the next page.  At 2 am, I drew the line and finally went to sleep.  I don't think that I should be able to bring these books to bed and I need to save a really boring book to read before bed to put me straight to sleep instead of being interested in what happens next!

In this novel, Colin came to Virgin River to recover from his near fatal helicopter crash.  He has decided to focus on wildlife painting that he reconnected with while he was in rehabilitation.  At the same time, Jillian takes a leave of absence from her job because she is involved with a colleague that decided to set her up for sexual harassment.  She left her home to look for somewhere to "vacation" and decides to go to Virgin River where her sister and she had vacationed the previous year.  The two meet while Colin is painting wildlife in Jillian's backyard of her rental house.  The friendship blooms from there and they can't be separated for the summer.  Colin had already bought a plane ticket to Africa for September and he was leaving to go on safari and see great wildlife and try to find a job flying planes.  Jillian decides to stay in Virgin River and they part ways.  There is so much that goes on between them at the same time Denny reveals that he is Jack's long lost son and Jack can't remember his mother at all until it finally comes to him who she is.  Make sure you pick up this book to find out what happens with Colin and Jillian and what Jack discovers about Denny.

I was super eager to start on the next book but waited at least a few hours before starting the next book so that I could write this review first.  I think that you should really check out the Virgin River series and see what you think because I can't stay out of it.  They are super easy reads with great characters that I feel like I could invite over for dinner.  I am going to be super sad soon when I have finished the whole series :(  I hope that you check them out and see what you think!!
