Weekly Goals 4/7

I am hoping for a busy weekend and a quiet week but I know that we are going to have a busy Wednesday and I have a little man with energy to burn so I need to quickly figure out long (and exhausting- for him only) entertainment to make him super happy!!  Let's hope that I make it through another week without wearing myself out.  Hope that you have a fun filled week planned too :)

Last Week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family for our Easter celebration- The Easter bunny hid the eggs and my little guy went around finding them all.  Of course, seeing what was inside was a much better draw than the next egg so it was hard to keep track of which ones were found but he did test out the candy from a few as he was searching to keep his energy up :)
  • Brunch at a friends house for Easter- We had a great Easter brunch with friends even though our little man was a little high on sugar.  My husband may have eaten all the deviled eggs so sorry for anyone else who was planning on eating them- they are his favorite and something I don't make.
  • On the Farm storytime- We had a great storytime listening to the great animal stories and making a neat sticker picture.
  • Preschool storytime- This one was about Flowers and Rain.  The stories were good but no fun activites so we spent a long time reading at the library which seemed to be enough to wear my little guy down enough for a nap.
  • Mommy's day at preschool on Saturday- Daddy got to go the other day so it was finally time for Mommy to go to visit school.  I was looking forward to getting my little man out of the house for the morning and hoping that helped with the energy level.  We had a great time and then played on the playground for a little bit with friends and then went to My Gym for a few more hours of playing and then he spent the whole afternoon running around outside.  We are going to have to figure out what else to do with him because he needs so many more activities to be entertained and Mommy is too exhausted to be doing something all day!!
Personal Goals
  • Cut coupons- I cut this week's coupons and some from the previous weeks.  I also was pretty excited to get the coupon basket totally clean and all of the expired coupons cleaned out.  The great part was that this helped make room for all the coupons that I had just cut.  It was a win win.  I still have two old insert piles to cut which kept getting moved down my list of important things to do.  I know that I will be going to a sale and needing a coupon and it will be sitting at home because I couldn't take an hour to cut the two inserts but it just took me forever to get to it.  I cut one more on Friday morning while I was waiting for my baking to finish so only one more to go!!!
  • Get coupons on Friday- I got a pile of papers from my new location at a CVS.  I was super excited to get them before I picked up my son but it did make me pretty far back in the line (even though I was still on time).  Two inserts to cut for the week.
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- The computer was shut off a lot this week and it got a lot of rest.  I was hoping to be a little better about shutting it off if I was going to be away for a few hours but it is hard to remember to turn it off every time I leave because we are always rushing to get out the door.
  • Ultrasound of thyroid- Did the test and everything came back fine.
  • Finish reading Zero Waste Lifestyle- Finished the book and posted the review
  • Start reading Bad Business and Back Story- I read Back Story and then I went to the library to get new books that were on reserve and I started one of them while out at the library...oops!  I will get back to Bad Business soon!!  I read Midnight Kiss and then started Promise Canyon before getting back to Bad Business.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I cleaned the kitchen what seemed like a million times this week but I had a lot less cleaning of the floor but I did get it done 5 days during the week.
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- I have kept the kitchen clean for most of the week with the dishwasher being run what seems like constantly (but really isn't).  I have gotten all of the dishes washed a few nights this week and it made for an easier morning.  Now if I could just get up a little earlier to have a little bit more time in the day, it would all be perfect :)
Blog Goals

  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family)- Done
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- Done and posted
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week- Done but I need a little bit more on the thrifty Thursday posts which I have to work on for the coming weeks.
  • Post Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, and Thrifty Thursday Tip- Done
This Week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family
  • Playdate with friends
  • Teacher conference for little man
  • First class at My Gym and go to at least two open playtimes
  • Get couch cleaned
Personal Goals
  • Cut coupons
  • Get coupons on Friday
  • Go to dentist for cleaning
  • Go to PT for TMJ
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy
  • Finish reading Promise Canyon
  • Start reading Bad Business and whatever ends up next on the list
  • Make blueberry muffins, applesauce bread and scones to have breakfast snacks through the week
  • Find a new recipe to try out!!
