Moonlight Road Book Review

Moonlight Road (Virgin River) by Robyn Carr is book 11 in the Virgin River series.  I can't believe how quickly I have read through the books but when one barely lasts 24 hours, I should understand how quickly I will finish a series.  There are only 20 books in the series so I am over half way there.

This might be one of my favorites!  It was about Aiden, Luke's brother, who was a doctor in the military and left to try to find a wife and make a family.  At 36 years old, he has spent most of his young life aboard a ship or on base with pregnant wives of the military as an OB.  Aiden leaves the military in search of employment outside the military and takes a long break at his brother Luke's house in Virgin River.  He has decided to relax and grow a beard while spending his time hiking.  During one of his hikes, he cuts through the weeds with his machete to find a young woman on her deck watering her plants.  She is so taken back by the hairy vagabond welding a machete that she falls and hits her head on the railing.  Pots fall off and hit her in the forehead creating a gash.  Aiden quickly jumps into action.  Bringing her into the house and getting the bleeding to stop on her head.  She has no phone and is still unconscious so he dumps out her purse to find the car keys and her name, Erin.  She wakes up screaming and he tries to calm her down which he finally does.  He drives her to the hospital to get a CT scan and make sure that everything is alright.  This strange meeting turns into him coming to her house while she isn't there to plant her plants, hang a hammock, and plant a garden.  The friendship grows and you will have to read the book to find out the rest.  I promise that there are tons of twists and turns for all of the characters in the book!!!

I highly recommend any book from Robyn Carr, especially the Virgin River series.  I can't wait to reserve the next two books at the library to get started on them soon.  I am on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happens next with the characters.  I might be a little addicted to this series.  I am going to be sad when they are over which could be next month at my current rate :)
