Weekly Goals 3/17

I think that it was a shock to the system for my son when all of the family members left.  He was most upset about my father taking his new mini van.  He really liked to sit in the van and watch his DVDs.  Didn't matter that he could watch them in the house (or even in our car) because he was certain that this new mini van was going to be his to keep.  He really loved the van!!  He was as happy to see it come back on Friday for a visit as he was Grandma and Grandpa that came in it.  We had our semi-annual consigment sale trip and had a blast.  We got tons of stuff that we really didn't need at great prices that the little man will love!  What a busy week and planning for a slow week next week :)

Last Week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with family- We had a good week together with the beginning and end spent with the extended family.
  • Get to preschool on time- We had a good week without too much drama getting to and from school.
  • St. Patrick's Day storytime at the mall- We waited a little for the start but my little guy loves to play at Pottery Barn Kids.  He had fun at storytime and making a straw with stickers.  Then, we went to Teavana and got a sample of his favorite iced tea..yup, he is my kid and loves tea (it is a fruity one and caffine free)!  He played at the Disney store and we headed to the tables to eat some snacks.  We passed the Cinabon place and they had samples.  He had a ton of fun running up and down to peck at the Easter Bunny.  It was quite a morning.
  • Playdate with friends (if we are feeling better)- We went to Hidden Oaks with friends where the kids ran crazy so we headed outside in the freezing cold for them to play in the sand tables.  Then, we drove to a small playground near our house for them to play while we froze.  Then, we came back to have lunch and play at the house.
Personal Goals
  • Cut coupons- Starting the week out right by cutting up one more coupon insert on Sunday morning.  I still had three more to get through and they were all huge piles!! They didn't get cut with all the company and busy schedule so I guess I better get caught up soon.  Maybe Sunday :)
  • Get coupons at library on Friday- Library didn't have any but I got them at two other stops and have them all still sitting in a pile.  I will get them sorted tomorrow and hope to keep cutting :)
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I did a good job of shutting off the computer and saving the energy.  The computer only acted up once this week.
  • Finish reading Hush Money by Robert Parker- I finished the book and posted the review
  • Start reading Hugger Mugger by Robert Parker- Read and finished the book.  I wrote the review and scheduled it.
  • I also read A Good Yarn and Temptation Ridge.  I am starting on my next book now.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I cleaned the kitchen all week and it was a mess every day.  I don't know why the floor was so dirty but it was super gross this week probably from my not so neat cooking.
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- I did a great job this week and did the dishes on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.  I tried on Thursday but I lost steam.
Blog Goals

  • Post one post everyday (schedule 7 posts so that can spend more time with family)- Done
  • Review book reviews completed during the week (if done)- Done and scheduled
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week- Worked on a few new posts :)  Coming soon!!
  • Post Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, and Thrifty Thursday Tip- Posted
