Melancholy Baby Book Review

Melancholy Baby (Sunny Randall)  by Robert B. Parker is the fourth book in the Sunny Randall series.  I started this book right after finishing the third book.  Okay, actually I had to stop myself with a evening of sleeping before picking this one up the next morning.  I read a lot in the little time that I had available but it was a page turner and hard to put down.

In this book, Sunny Randall is investigating to find out who the parents of Sarah Markham while dealing with lots of personal issues (as always).  During the course of the investigation, Sarah turns from a surly teenager into an adult with the help of Sunny.  She also discovers the truth about her parents after being discouraged to look into it by getting beat up and many other challenges.  The characters are great as well as including the drama and crime as in most Robert Parker novels.

I hope that you check out this book and other Robert Parker books.  It was a great read and it was even more fun that it overlapped with the Spenser series with the introduction of Dr. Silverman as Sunny Randall's shrink.  It was cool to see the paths cross of the different series.  Hope you check it out and see what you think!!
