Harris Teeter Super Doubles #1

I was super excited to hear that Super Doubles was going to be starting in January to start the month off right!!!  I had to drop my little man at school and then go to the doctor but then I had a little bit of time to get some deals before going to pick up my little man!!  I was excited to have some time because I didn't think that I was going to be able to find enough time.

I didn't really have a great idea of what I was getting at the store but I had my coupons all cleaned up so I knew that I was going to be able to find things if I needed them.  Sadly, most of the coupons had expired and I put them in the recycling bin.

I still had two Kikoman Soy Sauce coupons to get them for free.  I had the coupon to get the Wholly Salsa, Yoplait Yogurt, Reach dental floss, Stride gum, and Neutogena FREE!!!  I grabbed the Soft Scrub thinking that it would be a little bit of money and found a surprise Evic coupon that came off and made it a money maker!!!

I had a rain check that made the Kraft Fresh Taste a little cheaper than the current sale price so I decided to use it to save $0.44... silly, I know but every penny counts so why not get the cheapest price right?  I also got one container of the Bayer asprin for $0.24 after coupon for my Dad.  I also grabbed a clearanced head of lettuce for $0.99 for dinner that night that I had put off from the previous night because we didn't have lettuce!!

There was a deal on the Special K items.  The cereal was on evic special for $1.97 (limit 2) and I had a $0.70 coupon which made them $0.57 each.  If I bought one more Special K item, I would get $2 off my transaction so I picked up two of the Special K cracker chips which I had a coupon for $1/2.  They were $1.50 each but with the discount, it made them $0.50 each which was a super great treat.

Total OOP $2.89
Total Savings $43.74

After checking out, I went to the pharmacy to grab two Sudafed since we are still dealing with this congestion and I found a $2 coupon.  Although it took forever to check out, I still saved a lot and it was worth the wait since I still made it to my son's school on time (barely).

Total OOP $2.98
Total Savings $8.00

I only ended up using 19 coupons and you can tell when I am getting dental floss that I don't have many things to use but it was a great deal on what I got.  They didn't have the chicken yet on the shelf so I have to figure out if the price is any good.  I hope to have a busy week getting lots of great deals!!
