Weekly Goals 12/2

We spent this week with a variety of different sicknesses for all three of us.  My son ended the tiring week by vomiting on my husband right before dinner on Friday night.  I guess we have raised this to the next level of sickness because Daddy had to clean up to make sure that Mommy's stomach stayed okay.  We have ended this with a quiet Saturday to try to fight away all the germs while putting ornaments on the Christmas tree.  Here is hoping for a healthy new week!!!

This Week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with my family- Aunt Lynn left on Sunday.  Grandma and Grandpa left on Monday.  We had lots of time with our extended family and then got to spend some time together as a smaller family during the rest of the week.  Sadly, we were all getting sick so it wasn't a ton of fun.
  • Kid Science learning about machines- We drove there and my little guy fell asleep on the way.  He woke up in the parking lot and said he didn't want to go.  I was thinking that he was going to fall right back to sleep but he didn't... he slept for about 6 minutes in the car and then about 10 minutes in the house and that was the total nap time :(
  • Storytime about Night Noises- Excited to see something at the nearest library to the house so we headed out to see what neat things we could learn.  It was a fun storytime but we didn't learn about any new nocturnal animals :(
  • Playdate with a friend at the house- The boys had lots of fun playing for a long time!!
  • Get to Preschool on time- We got out of the house without a ton of fighting this week.
Personal Goals
  • Cut coupons- Umm, I don't think that I can tell you how far behind I am with coupons but it is a disaster.  I am hoping to cut a few on Saturday but I am not holding out hope that I can get them all up to date and hope to try on Sunday to finish the rest.  Cross your fingers for me!!
  • Get coupons at library on Friday- I got distracted on the way to the library after the dentist and then again after I picked my son up from school so luckily, my husband was able to stop and pick them up!!
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- A bad start to the week but I turned off my computer every other night and got to leave it off for two whole days. 
  • Finish Frozen Heat by Richard Castle- Done and wrote review which should be posted soon.  Started reading the We Bought a Zoo book and I should have it done by Sunday morning :)  Look for that post soon.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the week- I felt like I was cleaning up all the time but I think that is just because I was so exhausted with this sickness and everything that the last thing that my body wanted to do was clean the kitchen.
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- We got the dishes done on Tuesday night which lead to a nice morning on Wednesday.
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday- Minus the late posting, I got it done.
  • Fix picture loading issue- I am not sure if I fixed it or if I got a work around but I was able to add more pictures and can select them from the  
  • Make a new recipe and post- I posted all of the recipes from Thanksgiving.
  • Schedule at least 7 posts so that can spend more time with family- Posted and scheduled
  • Review book reviews completed during the week- Done and posted
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week- I started working ahead when I got the picture issue "fixed" to get the rough drafts finished and posted.
  • Post Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, and Thrifty Thursday Tip- Got up all even if there was a little glitch with a late post.
This Week:

  • Read new book of choice after finishing We Bought A Zoo
