Halloween Harris Teeter Shopping Trip #1

I had a little bit of a break between my son's Halloween parade and performance and coming back and picking him up.  I was super lucky to have a great reader let me know that Super Doubles was starting because I had no idea.  I was super excited to get a chance to go since I knew that I wouldn't be going during the fun trick or treating time with my pirate son.  What a great trick or treat for mom!!!

I was glad to get some deals and make it through the store in my limited time.  I grabbed some free Benecol butter, Gerber Yogurt Melts, Sabazon protein drinks.  I got super cheap sprinkles at $0.07 per container and Minute rice for $0.04.  I used coupons and got great deals on the Gerber fruit, Kellogg's Crunchy Nut cereal and the Mazola non-stick cooking spray.

My favorite deal of the day was the Smithfield bacon.  The two packs were on clearance for buy one, get one and they had the $1 coupons right on the top of the package.  They are normally priced at $5.85 so I got both packages for $1.85 or $0.93 each.  The great part about these is that they split into two different packages so that I can freeze the packages and pull out enough for one sandwich whenever I want.  I can have a BLT through the winter at only $0.50 each!!! I love bacon and the deals on bacon are few and far between so I am super excited to splurge and get some to savor.

We were also almost out of our four loaves of bread that I stocked up previously with my son's toast habit so I grabbed one more.  I am crossing my fingers and hoping that we get over this toast habit soon and move back to some real food!!!

Total OOP $9.75
Total Savings $66.18

  1. Awesomeness! My bill was almost the same for my first trip! HAHA! I did the EVOL burritos, some Jose Ole, the Tai Pae frozen foods, cheese, V8 juice, the Al Fresco sausage, some mandarin oranges, and a couple other things I can't remember while I'm at work! ;) I'm going back again today - they were out of Yakisoba last night.
