Weekly Goals 9/16

Last Week:

Family Goals
  • Spend time with my familyWe had a great family fun weekend followed by a super busy week!
  • Go to festival as a family and see children's music group - We had a blast at the festival and enjoyed the concert and all the booths and junk food that we normally don't eat like funnel cake, corn dogs, and ice cream.  Then little man decided he would try the biggest slide ever with his friend so I was super excited that he had someone to go on it with him and then it was time to leave at the end of a long day.
  • Get to Preschool on time!!- We made it on time all week and didn't have any problems with drop off or pick up so that was a great first week of school.
  • Animals Down Under Storytime- We got to hear a few stories and sing some Australia songs and then we picked out lots of books and videos... we are now at 50 checked out again.
  • Toddler Time Storytime- We went to storytime and then went to the park for 3 1/2 hours.  I am wiped out!!!
Personal Goals
  • Get all items for preschool- Yeah!!  We got everything with the help of friends.  We needed to get a box of Kleenex, Paper Towels, 5 oz cups, copy paper and Men's XL T-shirt.  I almost felt like I was on a scavenger hunt but we got everything piled into little man's school bag and ready to go (and then it tipped over in the car...oh well!)
  • Haircut- I was so excited to get something done for me for a change.  I was thinking that I could get some other things done since I was done so early but I went to the library to grab newspapers that I forgot last week and then I ended up at home pouring hot soup into a cup and trying to eat it in the car while waiting for my little guy from his first day of school
  • Dentist Appointment - I went to a new dentist and it was super nice... however, I have to get major dental work done so you might see this on my list a few more times over the next few months!!
  • Oil Change AppointmentThese things always make me stressed out because they always find something else wrong with my car but it wasn't horrible minus the over 3 hours that they kept me waiting.  My husband was worried that I wouldn't make it to the school so he left work to get the little man.  I got there a few minutes late and the line for pick up was still around the building.  A little too much worry but everything went fine and we were off to the park and then the library for an afternoon of fun.
  • Forgot to add to my original list because there weren't any coupons the week before but I needed to cut coupons and get this weeks coupons at the library- I did both things!!
  • Shut off computer 6 nights to save energy- I saved lots of energy and kept the computer working great! I kept it off all week and didn't miss a night.
  • Finish reading SHED Your Stuff, Change Your Life: A Four-Step Guide to Getting Unstuck by Julie Morgenstern- Finally finished!!!  I also posted the review.
Home Management Goals
  • Clean dishes, counters and floors at least 5 days of the weekI worked on the kitchen every morning.  I figured out that if the counters were cleared off, it takes about 10 minutes to clean the counter and 5 minutes to swiffer the floor so plus or minus 30 minutes for dished, I should be done with the morning clean up in 45 minutes... sadly, with three year old breaks, it usually takes 2 hours but those are the best breaks because they usually come with hugs :)
  • Clean dishes one night and not wait until the morning- I started feeling bad about this so on Tuesday, I turned on the kitchen TV and washed all the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen.  I also did them on Wednesday but it was sort of cheating because almost everything went in the dishwasher which is why I love the casseroles or things in the oven because there are no pots and pans to wash!!  I really wish that I had the energy to do that every night!!
Blog Goals
  • Post one post everyday- Done.
  • Schedule at least 7 posts so that can spend more time with family- Done.  I got lots of posts up and I had most of the week up without too much more work.
  • Review book reviews completed during the week - Done!  I was super glad to get it done and posted,
  • Work on a few posts to work ahead for the coming week- Done. I got to work ahead and have up a lot of the month already.
  • Post Weekly Goals, Menu Plan Monday, and Thrifty Thursday Tip- Done
