Harris Teeter Shopping Trip #1

I didn't even know that Super Doubles started until I talked to my mother in law this afternoon and she said, "Have you made it to Super Doubles yet?"  Uhhhh, I didn't know it was going on.  I flipped on my computer as fast as possible to confirm (not that I didn't trust her but I was shocked that I was that out of it that I didn't even know).  Yup, e-mail said super doubles starts today!!!  I called my husband to see when he was coming home and he was already in the car.  Thank goodness!!!!

I grabbed a bunch of deals that I wanted to get including the free Velveeta, Lysol spray, Total cereal, Sprite Zero 2 liter, Diet Coke 20 oz, Smithfield Bacon, Ocean Spray Sparkling Juice and Gerber Graduates.  There was an issue with the coupon scanner and the new barcodes so I got some overage.  Plus there was a meat coupon for $4 off plus the coupon so it was a money maker.  I ended up at the end with one coupon still in my hand that they couldn't use because the subtotal was $0.  I ended up paying tax only of $1.11.

Total OOP $1.11
Total Savings $89.48

  1. where did you find a coupon for free velveeta?! I had one where I paid $1. a box which was still a great deal. I cannot find the hormel pork loins anywhere at our Harris Teeters! I found this super awesome $1.50 off Kashi coupon for their granola bars and have gotten nine boxes of those bad boys free!!!! My son is allergic to red dye so these are a great snack he enjoys. Also the McCain coupons were awesome, and I had a Cabot Coupon for the Cabot seriously sharp cheese $1. off and it doubled so I got them for 50 cents a package. I've made so many trips I don't even know how much I've spent but my total has not been over $12. at any trip and I've used 20 coupons every time except last night - my kids were having FITS and they were out of alot so I bailed with just three packs of bacon, juice and the Kashi. My total was $4.17 on that trip because the juice coupons wouldn't ring upI should have told her I didn't want them but it's one of those hindsight moments. They subbed the Smithfield bacon at ours too and I had a $1. off coupon so that doubled and I got bacon for free!! <3

    1. I printed the Velveeta coupon for the short time that it was up on coupons.com but they are all gone. It was $1 off 1 instead of two. Sadly, I only got two coupons before they were gone or I could have made out like crazy because the store was fully stocked. I had a $1.50 Kashi granola bar coupon last super doubles but they were out almost the whole time so I only got one box. I didn't see the coupon this time or I would have gotten a few... give me a heads up on where you found it :) I am going to have to look for the Cabot cheese coupon. The Hormel pork loin is in the fresh meat section with all the other meat at mine. I cut mine and make them into pork chops for super cheap.

I just added all my trips and I spent a little over $33 and saved over $366!!! 90% savings isn't bad :)

  2. I'll have to look again for the hormel ones - we have two more days! ;) I got the Kashi one at vocalpoint.com, you can make a profile and print from there - even though it's through a sign in you can print two from any computer you can get your hands on! I got the Cabot one from their web site, I just signed up for their newsletter and it emailed me a coupon! We love their cheese so we racked up there. Maybe we can swap coupons on some stuff because I don't use pull ups anymore but see coupons often.
