The Forgotten Affairs of Youth Book Review

I got hooked on Alexander McCall Smith years ago because I got a present from a friend oversees who read both series and gave me the first one in each  (Thanks Ann!!).  Shortly after, I went to a reading and book signing at George Mason with her mother in law who she also hooked (Thanks Christel!!).  I probably wouldn't have read any other books if it wasn't for that very fun book signing.  Then, I read all of the books that he wrote.

I love the Isabel Dalhousie Novels the best because she is such a great character.  The Forgotten Affairs of Youth: An Isabel Dalhousie Novel (8) by Alexander McCall Smith is a great continuation of series.  Spoiler alert if you haven't read the series and don't want to know what happened in the first 7 books, don't read any farther.  Isabel is together with her still finance with their son Charlie.  Isabel gets herself involved in other peoples lives again but trying to find details on the parents of a new friend who was adopted at birth.  I always find it really interesting to see how many people she knows through town that help her solve her "mysteries."  There was a twist at the end with the mystery and with Isabel so I highly recommend you pick this one up if you have started the series or start at the beginning if you are just hearing out it!!!  There are great characters and great stories sure to entertain :)
