Summer Nights Book Review

I have been reading this books at a fast past and I am pretty sure that I have given up sleeping because I am reading instead.  I finish what was a long day and read when I should be going to bed but the great news is that I have read through most of the books in my library pile.  Summer Nights (Fool's Gold, Book 8) by Susan Mallery was the next one in the pile and I was glad to get the second book in this set of three.

Horse whisperer Shane Stryker is done with passion. This time around, he's determined to meet someone who will be content with the quiet life of a rancher's wife. And the fiery, pint-size redhead who dazzles him at the local bar definitely does not fit the bill.  Small-town librarian Annabelle Weiss has always seen herself as more of a sweetheart than a siren, so she can't understand why Shane keeps pushing her away. Shane has formed the totally wrong impression of her but only he can help her with a special event for the next Fool's Gold festival. And maybe while he's at it, she can convince him to teach her a few things about kissing on hot summer nights, too—some lessons, a girl shouldn't learn from reading a book!

Annabelle has been in most of the books up to this point so this is your chance to get to know her a little better.  Annabelle decides that she is going to raise money to have a bookmobile to take books to shut ins.  She is going to be in a parade and needs to learn how to ride a horse and do a special horse dance.  Friends set her up with the best person to teach her to ride, Shane.  They quickly learn that they don't want the same thing in life but seem to be constantly pulled together.  I was pulling for her to get everything that she wanted and following the happy ending idea, I knew that there would be a wonderful conclusion.  I hope that you find out all the ups and downs along her journey to get to her happy ending.  I hope that you enjoy this book as much as I did and check it out at your local library or bookstore soon!
