I decided that I better make it to Harris Teeter because the sale ends so I got together my coupons and headed over shortly after dropping my son off to school. With a little break at home because I had to shape the rolls that I was making before leaving so that I could let them rest and put them in the oven before going to pick up my son again. Time management is a hard thing when it comes to getting everything fit into a day for me. How about you?
Here is what I ended up getting at the store:
It was a great trip for getting cheap stuff to add to the stockpile. I got one box of Bisquick, three McCormick Gourmet Spices, two Bailey's creamers, one Liberte yogurt, two Kikoman Soy Sauces for free. The Cheerios were $0.27 after evic special price, coupon and zvr coupon. The Total Raisin Bran cereal was $0.05 after sale, coupon and zvr coupon.
The best discounted price was for the ThermaCare Cold Muscle Therapy pad. It is normally $8.99 for a one count box!! I had a printed coupon for $3 but that wasn't going to make it a good enough deal for me to buy it. Well, there were three zvr coupons loaded on my card. Two were for $1 off cold or hot therapy and one for $3 off the cold therapy so a total of $5 off electronically. The final price on the item was only $0.99!!! Plus I had some overage on the other items so I figured that it would be a great item to cover the overage.
I decided at the last minute to get some of the McCain potatoes that were on sale for buy one, get one so after sale and coupon they would be $0.80 each. It was too good of a deal to pass up even though they didn't have the fries that my husband liked last time. I was thinking about traveling to another Harris Teeter just to get the fries but I grabbed a rain check instead. Cross my fingers that the coupons and super double will happen at the same time so that I can use my rain check and get them free when the time comes.
I had the total figured out in my head and it was higher then I thought it was supposed to be but I paid my total and went to the car to figure it out. I figured it out and went to customer service and they doubled my two coupons that didn't work right the first time so I got $1.54 back in cash to make up the difference.
Total Retail Cost $47.66
Total OOP $5.70- $1.54= $4.16
Total Savings $41.96+ $1.54= $43.50
