Harris Teeter Shopping Trip for under the cost of the milk!!!

I don't know if I say this enough but I love Harris Teeter.  I run out of milk and they put it on sale!!!  Perfect timing because I wasn't in the mood to drive all the way to Aldi's and I wasn't doing any other errands out there.  I grabbed my list of things that I needed to get with a idea of what coupons I had in the trunk of the car but it has been raining for three days here so I wasn't going to check if they were there.

Although this trip required a lot of walking back and forth because of my lack of organization, I still left the store happy.  I started by dropping my animal coupons off with one of the customer service guys...he has pets and I do not so I am more than happy to share if it is something he is going to use.  Then, I went on the hunt of things that I had on the list.  I went to the soup aisle and got the Progresso Recipe starter ($0.50 after coupon and zvr coupon with additional $0.50 Saving Star deposit).  I am trying to figure out if I can use this instead of cream cheese in my baked potato soup recipe because that would mean that I have one more thing ready for our pumpkin party but I am just not sure.  I didn't have the coupons in the newspaper inserts for the Progresso soup so I passed on that deal.

Grabbed the Raisin Bran Total ($0.05 after coupon and zvr coupon) and the Cheerios ($0.27 after coupon and zvr coupon).  We didn't really need either of those but can you turn down cereal for under a quarter because I can't!! Even when I know the cupboard is kind of full.

The Bisquick which is normally $2.69 was on sale for $1.69 so I grabbed a box.  I used the $0.60 printable coupon and for the $0.50 zvr coupon so it ended up being free.  I normally make my own but you really can't beat free and I know that it won't go to waste.  (also have a saving star for this so $0.50 will be added to the account).  I remembered that I still had some of the McCormick spice coupons so I grabbed three of those which ended up being free.  Found one Stretch Fruit coupon next to those coupons so I went back to the beginning to grab that from the first aisle which ended up being free.

The Liberte yogurt was on sale for $1 again but my store stopped carrying the vanilla that I loved for my scones so I got the coconut which I wasn't as big a fan of but they were still pretty good.  I got three which were a money maker after coupons and zvrs.  I found a $0.55 Chobani coupon when I was looking for the other yogurt coupon so I decided to get two of those.  They ended up being $0.24 after coupon which is way more then I normally spend on yogurt but I wanted the french vanilla to make scones and I picked out one to eat when I got home and I was doing so well with everything else, I might as well splurge.  Found the Bailey's creamer and both my coupons so I got those two for free and I am going to enjoy hazelnut and almond toffee scones soon!!!  I grabbed

Finally got to the milk which was on sale for $2.99.  It might not be the cheapest around but $0.90 saving is still a pretty good sale on something that I needed anyway.  Especially because it gave me a chance to get all these other deals too!

Total Retail Cost $36.82

Total Savings $33.48 (from sales, coupons and zvr coupons)

Total OOP $3.34

Total Saving Star Deposit $1.00 ($0.50 from soup and Bisquick)

I love getting the Saving Star money but I normally count that as extra money and not into my budget since it takes a little longer to get and then it moves to either Amazon gift cards for Christmas presents or Pay Pal account which is actually my husband's account and it just sits there until we have online purchases.  I have over $23 currently to figure out what to do with.
