First Harris Teeter Trip for Super Doubles!!

I am super excited that we got super doubles but I was totally unprepared!!!  I shouldn't have been caught off guard since I have been waiting forever but we had a really busy week planned and my parents came into town.  Oh well, I did the best that I could today and shopped a little differently then I normally would.  I grabbed everything that I would be sad if I didn't get.  Normally, I start with the cheapest stuff that might be gone by tomorrow.  I also used two rain checks which I never do on the first day :)

I went all over the store trying to grab what I needed/wanted and figuring out my 20 coupons at the same time.  I got some special treats of Doritos (four bags in the back), 2 pretzel thins, Silk Fruit and Protein and Krave cereal.  Then I got something that we needed- toilet paper, milk, lunch meat, syrup and pancake mix.  The extras were the Expo Dry Erase Markers and the Jimmy Dean sausage.

The great deals include free Silk Fruit and Protein and free Smart Balance milk (with rain check).  The Jimmy Dean sausage was on clearance for B1G1 so it made them $4.25 and I had two $1 coupons so I paid $0.12 each for the rolls of sausage!!!  I used my rain check for Hungry Jack and paid $0.07 each for the pancake mix and syrup.

I wasn't super happy with my total on the first day of super doubles but I know that I got what I needed just in case I never see the inside of Harris Teeter again during Super Doubles.  Here is crossing my fingers that I don't have to give up sleep in order to make it back this week!! At least for some more milk with my other rain check!!!

Total OOP $20.32
Total Savings $76.48 (plus $4.98 with rain checks for $81.46)

  1. I got the Krave coupon in the paper from 7/8 RP. There were a few different Kellogg's cereal coupons. The store had an issue scanning them but they said that they had that problem all day so they overrode without any issues.
