His Holiday Heart Book Review

I got another book of reserves at the library which was part of the series of books about the McKaslin Family.  I have enjoyed getting to know all of the members of the family and this book was no exception.  His Holiday Heart (The McKaslin Clan: Series 3, Book 8) ( Love Inspired #467) by Jillian Hart might be the last one that the library has and I enjoyed learning more about Spencer who was the most mysterious of the family.

What can make a grumpy "there-is-no-Santa-Claus" kind of man smile? The sight of quirky Lucy Chapin. Something about the woman creates warm and fuzzy feelings within confirmed bachelor Spence McKaslin. So he'll just have to ignore her. Hard to do, since they're working together on a Christmas program for hospitalized children. The time with lovely Lucy soon has Spence thinking twice about spending his life alone. Because his heart is open to giving and receiving.

I thought that it was a great book and even got into the Christmas spirit which is always fun since it is my favorite time of year.  Spencer decided long ago that he would be a bachelor the rest of his life because he didn't want to risk his heart like his father did when his mother just turned and left them.  Lucy Chapin is a family friend who ends up breaking through his gruff exterior to get to know the man inside the rough exterior.  Lucy makes a big difference in Spencer's life and he starts to depend on her and realize that he is falling for.  There are always ups and downs along the way to make the story more interesting so you have to pick it up for yourself to see what happens.  I think that you will like this and other books in the series just as much as I have.
