Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Book Review

I borrowed this book from the library because I was interested in reading it but it had no renewals on it...I didn't even start it before it was due for return.  I mentioned to a friend that I did a horrible job getting to read it and and she said that they were just finishing it and they would loan it to me....I again put it on the shelf and didn't read it.  I think that I was avoiding it because it was a play and not a movie but I really wanted to read Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts 1 & 2, Special Rehearsal Edition Script by John Tiffany so I figured that I should read it and return it to my friend.  I finished it and went all the way to her house to drop something else off and totally forgot to return it.

"The Eighth Story. Nineteen Years Later.
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, a new play by Jack Thorne, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. The play will receive its world premiere in London’s West End on July 30, 2016.
It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places."

This was an interesting book with a different format which at first mention scared me away but the book and all of the things that it covered was a nice addition to the Harry Potter series.  I was thinking that I was going to have trouble with the play format but it was just as easy to read as the normal books even though there wasn't as much because of the spread out format on the pages.  Harry and all his friends were adults and we were meeting their children for the first time.  Harry's son, Albus, and Draco's son, Scorpious, become quick friends and they get into a little bit of trouble.  You have to pick up the book to find out what magically trouble they get intoI hope that you check this out if you liked all the other Harry Potter books.  They were big favorites before we had our son and we are enjoying sharing them with him as well!!  Let me know what you thought of the book!!
