I loved the cover of this next book in the Chesapeake Shores series, A Seaside Christmas: Santa, Baby (Chesapeake Shores) by Sherryl Woods. I was excited to see exactly what it was about!! I was super excited to have an old character all grown up that I got to learn more about. We saw Jenny through childhood in the rest of the series and I was excited to see how she was as an adult.
As the only child of a single mom, Jenny Collins wanted nothing more than to be part of a large, rambunctious family like the O'Briens. Ironically, though, when her mother married into that family, Jenny found herself feeling more like an outsider than ever. Now, after years in Nashville as an established songwriter, Jenny's drawn back to Chesapeake Shores to collaborate on a Christmas production…and to make peace with the past. As if that's not challenging enough, Caleb Green, the singer who broke her heart, has followed her to town, determined to win her back. With the help of a little O'Brien holiday magic, will Jenny and Caleb find a way to make sweet music forever?
I love reading this series and I can't believe that I am quickly getting to the end of it!! This book was a great walk down memory lane to see how the things have changed because there was a large gap in time between this book and the last book. Many of the children have gotten older and you get to see them different in this book then in some in the past. Once I was up to speed on the passing of time even though I put down the last book in the series just a few hours before, I was so excited to see the path that this book took. I think that you will enjoy this drama filled book including seeing the new theater where the Christmas play is being put on and the country music twist. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did. Make sure you pick it up at your local library or bookstore soon!!
