Mean Thirteen (Stephanie Plum, No. 13) by Janet Evanovich was on loan from my aunt and uncle since I read through most of the books that I had brought with me on my trip to New York since we stayed longer then expected. I was super glad to see this on their shelf because it was the next book in the series that I was reading. I finished the book before leaving New York but didn't get the review written so I am working on getting everything updated.
In this book, Stephanie Plum gets drags into Dickie Orr's life again because Ranger asks her to go and see him to plant some bugs. She goes into his office and gets in a fight with him as soon as she sees a picture of him with Joyce, the women that he cheated on her with when they were married. Then Dickie goes missing, it turns out that Stephanie is the main suspect of disappearance. She has to lay low in order to make sure that she isn't arrested but she is also trying to find out where he is so that she can clear her name. It is another amusing story about all the trouble that Stephanie gets in along the way and I couldn't put it down!
I read it quickly and was able to return it to my cousin before I left New York because it was hard to put down. One night I spent a lot of time reading it instead of sleeping so it wasn't the best plan but it was a good book. I hope that you pick up one of these books and start the series soon. It is a really good series and I already have the next book picked up and started so just wait to hear about the next one soon.
