High
Five (Stephanie Plum, No. 5) (Stephanie Plum Novels) by Janet Evanovich was next in the reading pile from the library and next in the Stephanie Plum series. I am flying through this series and I finish one and pick up the next one right after. Luckily, I have been finding them all at the library because most people reading the series are up in the higher numbers with the newer books. I don't even have to reserve them because they have all been there when I needed to grab a few more.
Stephanie Plum is searching for Uncle Fred as a favor to her family while trying to make money to support herself. She decides that she is going to work for Ranger in some of his different ventures. She doesn't know exactly what she has gotten her self into but she is driving a company car as long as it isn't blown up or stolen. Stephanie goes to a family wedding with Joe and has a last minute change of heart changing her dress from a killer outfit to something she knows will help her make it through the wedding without sleeping with Joe. She is being followed by a bookie, a violent ex-con boxer and getting into all kinds of trouble. What investigation is leading to all of her trouble? She doesn't know but she continues her bounty hunting and one FTA ends up homeless and the other has a heart attack and dies. It is a adventure every minute and I warn you now that you better get the next one because you won't want it to end when it does!!
I love this series! I don't know how much mystery this series is but it certainly has a lot of action and adventure. I can't seem to keep out of them! I just started them at the beginning of the year and I am on track to finish the whole series before a few months in (since I am on the 6th book at the beginning of February). I hope that you pick up this series if you haven't tried it already because it is really entertaining and you can't stop reading. I can't believe it took be this long to get to reading it but once you start, you won't stop. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do!
