In the Still of Night Book Review

The Still of Night (A Rush of Wings Series #2) by Kristen Heitzmann was another book on my list so I reserved it at the library and it came in super fast because they actually had it in my library!!!  I don't actually get a chance to look on the shelves and see things because I spent 99% of my time in the children's section.  It doesn't allow a ton of time to pick out books the old fashion way of looking but I love to reserve the books that I want because my son helps me looks for our name and I actually get to bring books home.
In this book, Jill Runyan is dealing with being in a relationship with someone who doesn't have faith in God and wants to move in together even though she has specifically discussed how her next step is marriage.  She is dealing with being friends with her ex and having only the companionship from her cat after her hard day working with special needs children.  Morgan Spenser is a successful business person who turns around companies that are failing.  He is alone and lives most of the time on the road with no friends or family except for the few times a year that he visits his brothers ranch.  Jill and Morgan share a past when they were in high school and it was time for their 15 year reunion.  Neither wanted to go and both were convinced that they should go and reconnect with their past.  The starting point to unravel the secret that Jill has been holding on to for all those years.  Pick up the book to find out what the secret is but I promise you will be surprised at the path this book takes... I know that I was!!

I am not sure why I picked this book off the shelf in my room next but it was on the top.  I think that it was the last book that I got from the library so it wasn't following the cardinal rule of first in and first out.  But I started the first chapter on Saturday night...I don't think that I got a ton farther than that before falling asleep.  I finished the rest of the over 400 page book on Sunday!!!  It is a quick read and a page turner but make sure you have tissues nearby!!!  It is a very emotional book that has you continuing to find out what is going to happen next.  I was reading it while the whole family was watching a movie together (yup, in the same room) and I carried it everywhere with me but it was an amazing book.  I hope that you pick it up at your local library or bookstore.  I know that I couldn't put it down and I don't think that you will be able to either!!
