Bones are Forever Book Review

Bones Are Forever by Kathy Reichs was sitting at the library on the new release section when I saw it.  I wasn't totally sure but I didn't think that was the last one of the authors that I had read.  I picked it up and figured that even if it was the last one that I could just return it.  I was so excited to learn that I hadn't read it!!!  I was reading two other books when I picked this one up so I had to be patient.

In this book, Temperance Brennan (known by Tempe by her friends) is brought to the scene of a crime which unearths three dead babies.  She is haunted by the case and the babies and starts to search for the mother who is missing after leaving the hospital. Andrew Ryan, her ex-boyfriend, is heading up the investigation and his counterpart from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Ollie Hasty, also one of Tempe's past relationships, are working on the case with her.  The follow the clues to Edmonton and then Yellowknife but other crimes keep popping up along the way to distract from the motive that they are there to discover.  I don't want to give away all of the surprises but I hope you pick it up and see for yourself.

This is a great book and hard to put down.  The bad part is it isn't the best book to read before going to bed with some of the details that are shared (which is my best time to read books).  I know that I like all the books by this author so if you haven't read Kathy Reichs before, please take time to check out this book or some of her earlier works first.  They are all great books and give you the background of the characters.  Just try to find another time farther away from bedtime to read them.  I hope that you check it out at your local library or bookstore and let me know what you think!!
