The Professional Book Review

The Professional (Spenser) by Robert B. Parker was the next book in the Spenser series.  Can you believe how close I am to the end of the series?  I guess reading over 10 books a month gets you there faster than normal especially when you are focused on the series. 

In this book, Spenser is hired to help stop a blackmailer.  A lawyer comes to see him who is representing four women who have slept with the same man.  They are now being blackmailed or else videos and photos are going to be released to their husbands.  None of the women want their husbands to know about the affairs but none of them have the money without the husbands.  Spenser works his magic and gets the blackmailer to stop going after these four women and you would think that the book is over but there is still a bunch of the book left!  I couldn't believe all the twists and turns but you should pick up this book and see!!

I loved this book!!  I know that I feel like the last book I read is the best but I really liked this one.  I am happy to see that the quality of books has been consistent through the whole series.  I can't wait to get the next one which I put on reserve at the library because currently, I have no library books on my shelf.  I had three at the start of the week and I finished them all super fast.  I am super excited to get to the next book soon so I am hoping that the library comes through quickly!!
