Whispering Rock Book Review

Whispering Rock (Virgin River)  by Robyn Carr is the third book in the Virgin River series.  After reading the first book, I decided that I had to read the rest of this series.  I read the second book in one day followed by the third book the next day.  It might be a good idea to get a little rest and start on another series of books so that I am not forced to read the whole book!!  They are really page turners and you care so much about the characters, you want to make sure that everything works out well for them.

This book is about growing stronger after a violent crime happens to you and destroys your life.  Mike, a Marnie friend of Jack's, was working as a cop with LAPD when he was shot by a gang member three times.  He survived and was fighting to regain his strength so he decided the best place to do that was Virgin River with his friends.  He packed up and moved in with Mel and Jack in their small country cabin.  Jack's sister, Brie, is then attacked and has a hard time trying to deal with the overwhelming fear.  Mike helps her come to terms with the attack and move forward with her life.  Through the bond that they share, they fall in love.  There are lots of other things happening at the same time in the book and so many great new characters to fall in love with!!

I recommend all the books that I have read by Robyn Carr.  The characters are great and the setting is perfect.  It makes you want to pick up everything and move to a small, rural town!  I hope that you pick up one of the books by Robyn Carr.  If you have read any of them, please let me know which series you like the best so I know where I am going to go after I finish this which at my current rate could be this month!!
